What exactly is in DisneyQuest and what would a 8 and 4 year have to do in there? I am trying to decide to add the water park option on or not and the DisneyQuest is an added option, just trying to find out if it is worthwhile.

I believe that when you purchase the Park Hoper Plus you get a number of added visits to your choice of, DQ, BB and TL. My son is 10 and he and his friends can stay at DQ for hours on end. It's a 5 level game room with fun participation for 1 or 2 individuals or even groups. They have simulated games like computer build your own roller coaster and then you get to ride it. Or the Captain and gunners trying to outrun and blast the pirates attacking. Us parents, played some of the games with them and then let them roam around each floor while we talked and had coffee. They have plenty of dining areas, snack areas and good places to get food as well. All of this and air conditioning too! Boy, it was hot in August. DQ starts to get really busy around 7pm when the older teenagers leave the other parks to go hang out there. It's good for both the ages of your children. DS (11), wants to have his birthday party there this year.

A four yr old will have almost nothing to do at Disney Quest. It's really geared for teens and adults and maybe older preteens.

Yeah, it's borderline for a 4yo. If tall enough, he/she would probably have fun on some of the interactive games like PotC, the Jungle Cruise raft ride and the Magic Carpet. But most of the arcade games would be lost on someone that young. I believe my son was a couple months past his 5th BD when we took him. He did like the Star Wars arcade games and a couple of others. But he really didn't know what he was doing most of the time. We did have fun, but didn't stay more than 2 hours.

If you do decide to add the "plus" parks to your ticket, I think it's worth a visit to DQ. We love the waterparks so that's usually reason enough to pay for the ticket add-on.

We had an awful experience taking our kids when DS was 8 and DD was 6 - DS was tall enough to do everything except virtual space mountain, but DD could only do the Jungle Raft and Alladin - and although there was not a height restriction, both were too difficult for her. It made for one very sad little girl while her big brother was in virtual heaven. I ended up taking her to a park whil DH and DS enjoyed DQ - but it was a huge waste of admission for the two of us.

We went when our DS was 6 - last year, in 2nd grade, each child wrote a "my favorite memory" story that the teacher had hard-bound into a great keepsake book. My sons was DisneyQuest - not any of the rest of our DVC vacations. That's why we'll be back this year! As a test, take your kids to the arcade at the mall. If they have a great time, this is the place for you. Once you're in the door, the only thing you'll pay for is food. There are fewer things to interest a younger child, but everything you find at Chuck E. Cheese or Jeepers, you'll find there. Your two might just need to be in different places part of the time to be happy. Good Luck.
