DisneyQuest and WP Fun tickets

Hiya,
Been out of the loop for so long I'm overwhelmed at how much I DON'T know about what's been going on at WDW lately.

So, two questions to start (and I'm having a hard time finding the answers). Wasn't DQ supposed to be closing its doors for good? Also, is it still an option on the Waterpark Fun and More ticket option?

It is still open and is an unpublished admission with the WPF&M ticket.

Thanks.. So, was it supposed to be closing for good at some point? I feel like I saw it somewhere on YouTube, maybe TimTracker.

DQ was supposed to close and be replaced by some sports thing - NBA? - but the contract reportedly fell through and now the only people who know for sure what's going on aren't talking. I would assume they want concrete plans in place before making any information public.
