Disneymoon Perks

The only thing i really hope i get is the King Size bed we requested in our room. Anything other than that im happy, im just so excited to be getting married to the man i love in the place i love almost as much!

I agree that the important thing is that you don't go into your honeymoon expecting perks, but that they will be something to add to that special time in your lives.

I guess you could say we were exceptionally lucky with the perks we got. We were staying at WL concierge and were upgraded to the VICE PRESIDENTIAL suite when we checked in!! My jaw almost hit the floor! we didn't know what to think, but were treated like royalty for our stay there!

We bought the ears and wore the buttons, and it was nice just to let everyone know you are celebrating your love! (not to mention that the CM's do what they can to make your day special! We got a couple of free ice creams, front row seats at a couple of shows, fastpasses, and the CM's announced that we were on our honeymoon at several restaurants. For us, we could not have chosen a more romantic place to spend our honeymoon, but you make it what it is! So enjoy your magical week! Congratulations!!

My fiance proposed to me in Cinderella's Castle over Spring Break. I guess he had asked on of the CMs if they do anything special for couples getting engaged. She told him to stop by after he proposed, that she would have something waiting for us. We went to Guest Services at MK and they all gave us congratulations and handed us the Bride and Groom Mickey Ears. It was so neat. We're going to wear them after our Disney Wedding in June, 2007.

My fiancee and I will be Disneymooning next July. The stories here are great and while we have already bought the bride and groom ears to wear while in WDW, we are not expecting anything extra, but we'd certainly enjoy it. We have the feeling that it would be like that episode on "Friends" when Chandler and Monica go on their honeymoon and the other newlyweds keep getting the perks and they don't, thereby unleashing Monica's competitive nature.

We figure that if we're in WDW, it doesn't get any better than that.

Ha! We were afraid of that this past summer on our honeymoon as well! We got some pretty amazing perks, but went in not expecting them, so it made it so much better! Hope you don't turn out to be the "Chandler and Monica" of WDW next summer! Congrats on your engagement!
