I'm taking my dd to Disneyland for her 16th bday in September and I wanted to do something different, so I've been thinking about signing up for either the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour or the Discover the Magic tour. But, the Disneyland website is not too helpful, it doesn't give a cost or really tell much about the tours. I know plenty of you have done these tours, so which to you recommend, why and how much are they?

Thanks!!

I'm thisclose to taking my DD to DL for her 16th bday in July. :) I think if we do a tour, it will be the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. She is a HUGE Walt fan so I think she would really love it. :) I don't have any more info, I just wanted to let you know I was also considering the tour. :)

I would take your daughter on the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. We took our 14yo son on this tour and he loved it. He asked alot of questions and the guide had all of the answers. As adults, both DH and I enjoyed the tour, too. They even shared a few tidbits I didn't know :) The other tour is really for younger kids from what I've heard. I think it was about $50 per person to go on this tour, which included a box lunch. There are discounts available if you have AAA or AARP or the Disney Rewards VISA.

I would also recommend Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour. I've taken it, and think it is well worth the experience.

How quickly does this sell out? I'm probably going to get an AP but not until closer to our trip, will we be out of luck if I wait to book it? We will be going in July but we will have 3-5 days (haven't decided just yet) in the parks. We tried to do the Halloween tour but it sold out too fast.
