Disneyland the week of 02/15/25??

We have to change our trip from mid-January to the week of 02/15 to accommodate fellow travelers. The Grand Californian hotel is $200 more per night with the new dates. Is there something fun going on during that week at the parks? Thanks.

Many school districts have that week off. In So Cal, we refer to the week between Lincoln's bday (2/12) and Presidents' Day as "Ski Week."

I've also just had to rebook for February 6th to 13th rather than January, and I saw that there is a USA Spirit Nationals competition from the 13th to the 17th. That could be part of it.

The FAQ on their website shows practice and prelims on Thursday and Friday. Finals are on Saturday Feb 15. If you are arriving on the 15th, you will probably see some teams in the parks. However, with it being a three day weekend, you're going to experience a more crowded park regardless of the competition.

Thanks all! I had no idea it would be a busy week. No wonder there's a big hike in the hotel rates.

It’s a four day holiday weekend and ski week, so that is what will impact crowds at the park the most. USA Spirit Nationals is a big competition, but they have large cheer and dance competitions like that at the convention center about once a month October - May and the impact on the parks is negligible.
