You get your fastpasses from a machine. You swipe your park pass, and it prints you out fastpasses.

The fastpass will say "return between 1:00-2:00." (Or some other one hour slot). The secret is is that you can return anytime after 1:00, and still get in the fastpass line. You can return at 7:00 that night if you want. When you get in the fastpass line, that is when you give your fastpass to the CM.

but when you are in the fastpass line for the first time you use the pass...do you say...im going to use it again or what??? i promise....no more questions after this!

No you can only use the fastpass once and you will then have to get another if you want to ride a second time with a fastpass. What Albertan Mom was saying is that if you happened to not come back during the time stated on the fastpass (perhaps got busy doing something else), you don't have to worry because as long as its after the first time mentioned you can still use it. so if it says 1:00-2:00 and you don't get to the ride untill 3:00, don't worry, you can still use it. Hope that makes sense... In order words, even though the fastpass reads "return between 1:00 - 2:00" pretend it sayed "return after 1:00".

I also wanted to point out that while you can "technically" only hold one fastpass at a time, you can get another fastpass as soon as the first time on your first fastpass has passed. So, for example, if you get a fastpass to Indiana Jones that has a return time of 1:00 to 2:00, anytime after 1:00 you can go and get another fastpass.

Also you don't always have to wait until the start time to get another one. It is usually 2 hours from when you get the FP or when the FP starts whichever is first. Look at the bottom of the FP and it will say another Fastpass available after xxxx.

For example if you get an fp at 10 for a ride that is after 2 you will be able to get another fp after noon.

I just wanted to point out that even though cast members might be saying that, things are not closed just because they are not wheelchair accessible. The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requires things to be made accessible if possible, but there are places that are not possible to make accessible. If that's the fact, the ADA doesn't require they be closed; they are just not accessible.

Unless the building was built before 1971 ( I believe that is the year) otherwise the building is Gradfathered in.

Just thought I should add one myself...

Expired Disneyland tickets used to be able to work on the Fastpass machines.During our DL trip about 2 or 3 years ago, we still had our ticket from the previous year and we used both tickets (past and current) to get two fastpasses for the same ride at the same in-between times. I remember doing this for Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder, and Screamin. Right when we got off Screamin the first time through FP, we got right back on through FP again. Luckily the FP ticket-taker didn't recognize us!

I believe this doesn't work anymore because we tried it again the next year after we discovered this and it didn't work. You can bet I will try it again in 15 days when I return! lol I'll bring my ticket from last year (which has a picture of the Tower of Terror on it )

When Disneyland was being built, there was an auto accident nearby that knocked down a light pole. That pole was purchased (for $5 I believe) and taken to Disneyland where today it is the flag pole at the beginning of Main Street!

It's not at the DL but at Cali Adv.

On the Tower of Terror when it first opened if you looked at the rails on the stairs in the boiler room it had scratch marks (like if someone was being dragged) on them and HELP etched on random areas. Also, when you are by the wall in the same area you can hear a young girl asking for help.

I read that many years ago...I think it was in an edition of the now discontinued 'Disney Magazine' - the one that was originally only for Magic Kingdom Club members. There was a period of time where every edition had a section of Disney Trivia. I always looked forward to the next one showing up in the mail to see the Trivia section!

Being the Disney nut that I am, I kept every edition I ever got, but they are all in deep storage. Some day I hope to dig them all out and enjoy them again!

PS...Does anyone else remember this little tidbit?

Here are some that I have heard-

-The entrance plaza to the park was intentionally designed to mimic entering a movie theater. Walt wanted people to believe that they were literally walking into live, 3D versions of his movies. Walking into the two tunnels (under the train tracks) simulates having to walk down the side aisles of a movie theater. As soon as you get out of the tunnels, you smell popcorn from the carts in Main Street Plaza, another intentional movie reference.

-The two entry tunnels (as mentioned above) are nicknamed "Voms" (short for vomitoriums) by CMs. For some unknown reason, kids frequently throw-up in the tunnels.

-Walt kept an apartment in the park, above the Fire Station. If you look in the window, there is always a light left on for him.

-The Partners Statue (Walt and Mickey holding hands) in the hub was designed after Walt's death. It symbolizes Walt pointing out the way for Mickey to continue with the company after his death.

3. the skies above disneyland is restricted skyspace. i remember either reading this or someone telling me this quite a while ago. not sure its true but i've never heard a plane flying over disneyland.

WE hard the same thing and were surprised to see a plane over DL over the summer. MY DD and I both questioned it. We have seen Helicopters manytimes, but assumed they were DL helicopetrs??
