Disneyland Resort Picture of the Day #5!!

smiley_face2 --

There are quite a few photographers of obscure (or, at least, less obvious) details on this board -- hence, the threads for Bathroom Signs, Light Fixtures, flowers, and the many photos of the assorted popcorn-turning dudes in the popcorn carts, etc.

So I think that someone, somewhere, on The DIS would have to have a photo of the tile floor in TSMM, even if only by accident.

The first people that came to my mind who could possibly have photos showing the TSMM floor would be either Bret/mvf-m11c (who is at DLR right now -- SO, BRET, IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE GET A PHOTO OF THE TSMM TILE FLOOR!!!!), or deejdigsdis, who always takes a photo of her feet/shoes when on a DLR trip (as well as other random things like railings) -- sometimes in ride queues and sometimes not!

Someone will come through for you!
Right??!! lol.... I see I just missed you being there! I know there are different tiles in the actual queue inside the building, and when you come down the stairs into the little store area. I do remember them being cream and tan with maybe the odd colored one in the queue, and basically cream in the store with pink and blue in there....
I have a week to track them down before I have to order....I am going to try google today too! I am doing the walls in there the same yellow they have inside... with accents of the blue and maybe a bit of pink..... I can pretend I am going into the ride when I go to do laundry :lmao:

I'm not at the DLR just yet. I am still here in Sactown and I will be leaving tomorrow morning. I will remember if I go on TSMM to look on the floor of TSMM for the tile around the store area.

How cute is that! That's exactly the way I feel when I walk into those magical gates......carefree and happy!

I LOVE the "Rockets" shot too! So carefree, and JOYFUL!! :thumbsup2

Denise --

I had never noticed that specific tile until last week (4/14), so I was very happy to see it in your photo! There were a few things that I seemed to notice for the first time in that very brief one-day visit, though I didn't get any photos of them as I was focused on the Easter/Springtime things.

I think I am normally so caught up in seeking out Christmas/holiday details and Halloween Time details that I miss a lot of other hidden, out of the way, non-seasonal gems!

I vividly remember the coffee cup in the tile catching my eye as I walked past it and wondering why there was a bird next to it.:rotfl2: And then I saw that there were other animals, drinks and fruits in the scene too!

Is it just DCA tile that you enjoy or do you like lots of different types of colorful tile? I ask because Catalina Island is largely known for its tile work -- which can be found all over Avalon -- and some of it is very colorful, detailed and interesting. If you like tile, that's a good place to find quite a bit of it!

Here is today's installment (from 4/14/14) -- and I still cannot seem to get the sizes where I want them to be on Photobucket (even after resizing them both offline and online!), so I give up!:rotfl: They all end up either much smaller than I want or much larger than I want.

Some of the eggs at the Springtime Roundup were crafted by one of the guys who also decorates some of the fantastic pumpkins at the Halloween Carnival every year! I don't know what he does during the holiday season but there must be something he works on because the holiday season seems to be a limitless well of creative possibilities.
