Being the planner that I am. I am trying to get a visual for getting to the parks from the hotel. Do we get a separate entrance? Do we get in early or just MM? Do we have special entrance into CA? Are the pools crowded, is the laundry room close to the pools? Does anyone have a rough estimate cost for having them do our laundry($4 shirts?)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You should have seen my questions when we were planning our cruise a few years ago....:rotfl:

I'm hoping we're talking about the DL Hotel....if not, ooops.......just disregard!! lol
DLH is at the far end of DTD, you can either use the Monorail to go to the parks or walk thru DTD to the front gates. It takes about 15 mins to make your way thru DTD with normal crowds.
As a guest of the DL Resort Hotels, you get MM every morning it's offered during your stay. They don't have any other extended hours as done at WDW.
As a hotel guest, you can use the entrance from the GCH into DCA....you will need to show your room card.
We didn't find the pool area to be crowded. It's a huge pool & they have 2 small kid pools over by the fitness center & beach area (3' & 5' pools).
We never used the laundry or service during our stay...so not sure!

If you're interested in seeing a lot of pictures from the hotel, click on my TR link below in my signature (above the pics):

1. The only Disneyland resort with its own park entrance is the Grand Californian. Guests at any DL resort can use that entrance, though it's only during the first hour or so that they actually check for resort ID. I went through it last week at about 11:15 and did not have to show ID.

2. The location of the laundry room depends on what resort you're at. At the Disneyland Hotel, the laundry room is right next to the Cove Pool. Guests at the Paradise Pier also use the Cove Pool laundry room. At the Grand Californian the laundry room is on the second floor of the hotel wing - accessible from the elevators near Napa Rose.

3. There's no additional "Early Entry" privileges other than Magic Morning, though the nice thing about Magic Morning is that you don't need a special ticket for it - resort guests can use it any morning that it's offered during their stay regardless of what ticket media they have, they just have to show their valid resort id.

4. Sorry, no idea on the cost of having them do your laundry, but I'm sure it's not cheap.

Great photo's....thank you so much. Any opinion on Goofy's kitchen breakfast or dinner? What time in the morning do you have to go in order to get into the park when it opens?

thank you for the compliment on the pics!!

We always do Goofy's for dinner on our first night & have the breakfast on our last morning. By this point....making the gates prior to opening is no longer a priority...... this last trip, our breakfast was at 8:10 & the park opened at 9:00. We got there just after 9:30. Usually plan on spending 60-90 minutes at the character meals & try to set them up for the hours you'd be willing to give up at the park or early enough to make park opening (if that's possible). Your other option would be to go to the park first for a couple hours & then return to Goofy's Kitchen for a late breakfast.

We love both meals.....so many choices of food!! I still favor the breakfast over the dinner, but everyone in the family loves to do both....so we do.
