With summer in full swing, there has never been a better time to visit the Disneyland Resort than right now! The parks are filled with spectacular entertainment, new character encounters, exciting attractions and of course – adventures in a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge now open. What better way to enjoy your summer visit than with a friend?

If you’re a Disneyland Resort Annual Passholder(or have a friend who’s one!), you’re in luck! Starting today through August 30, Annual Passholders can bring a friend to the Disneyland Resort with the purchase of a 1-Day Park Hopper ticket for $99.*

The Annual Passholder must accompany the guest on the first entry into a theme park on the day of purchase. If the Annual Passholder is blocked that day, they can take advantage of this offer by purchasing a ticket at this special price for both themselves and their friend.

Here’s just a few Disneyland Resort experiences to enjoy with your pals this summer:

Tickets may be purchased at the Disneyland Resort main gate. Tickets are valid only on day of purchase.

*Passholder must present valid Annual Passport at time of purchase and admission. (Government-issued photo ID may be required.) Tickets valid for use only on day of purchase—Passholder must accompany Guests into the first entry of a theme park that day. Offer ends August 30, 2019. May purchase up to three (3) tickets per Passholder per day at any Disneyland® Resort Ticket Booth. Tickets valid for ages 3 and above and may not be sold or transferred for commercial use. Offer may not be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions. Subject to capacity, restrictions and change without notice.

I just hope this doesn't make it too crowded! But I much prefer this over lifting blackout days.

And it's already working - my sister and her boyfriend were looking at 1-day tickets last night but decided against it because it would be $200 each for a park hopper. This deal comes out and we are already coordinating a day with them, my parents, and maybe my brother (partially as a birthday celebration for 3 of us). Thankfully I have another AP friend who can help with the extra 1-2 tickets.

Well, I knew they were going to do something. I really wanted them to wait just a few more weeks until after my trip (lol), but I knew that wasn't going to happen.

Just want to make sure I am reading this correctly. It is $99 per ticket per person? So AP would have to spend $99 too if they were blocked out? As I don't know much about AP, those in the know is this something AP's will definitely bite on?

Correct on the pricing.

Well, this news made me call and see if by chance they lifted the blockout of discounts on hotel rooms. Not yet. :sad2: As of now, still on until end of Aug.

Is there a pass holder discount after August?

They might bite but not in a Spring-Before-SWGE type way. $99 if your AP is blocked is doable but not cheap so you’re not going to do it much. $99 is going to bring in some of the people who have friends with not blocked out APs and would like to go to DLR but $150ish one day park hopper tickets turns them away. I think $99 is an affordable physiological level so some will bite but I don’t really think the amount of people the promo brings in will be noticeable.

I'm a pass holder but I'm blocked out till September , does this change anything? Can I do this?

Wow I wished for this sort of thing to happen, and go it lol Disney Magic? I’m sure this will make crowds pick up, but I’m glad my family and friends who don’t have passes will have a chance to go this summer without paying that outrageous 1 day ticket price.

Also I feel like it’s a good benefit for passholders (no matter the level), that have shelled out a lot of money for passes.

Sounds like it based off this paragraph

A one-day park hopper is $200! It is insane. One day, one-park is $150.
