Does anyone know if people can book the villas for the opening using the point rental sites or do you have to be an actual member to book for this limited reopening?

The announcement didn't state anything about this, so I assume you'd be able to either rent out a confirmed reservation or points through a rental site.

Good news! OC is officially listed by the state as meeting Red tier for Health Equity Metric at 7.0%, Orange tier for test positivity at 5.4% and Purple for case rate at 11.9 per 100k.

Case numbers are still rapidly declining, averaging around 8 per 100k over the last few days. Still on track to move to Red tier on March 16.

Am I correct that OC does not currently have a quarantine requirement? It is recommended but not required at this time? I don't travel until end of June, but thinking ahead.

If you can find someone who has a reservation they are renting, you’ll be good to go. Otherwise it’s booked up.

Was the LA County quarantine requirement lifted? It’s still listed as a requirement for non-essential travelers on the LA County website. Not that this affects DTD visitors...

I’m keeping my mouth shut on projections. I infamously said in August that the worst was behind us and that Disneyland would be open by Halloween.

just reading thelast 2 pages of the thread & great news for the projected opening of VGC early May.
I just have no idea what our state officials will decide in the next 3 months now that news of some CA counties will move into red tier very soon plus a 'deadly CA virus variant' upon our state (scratching my head & rolling my eyes).
IMO, just open for pete's sake!

There is something suspicious going on with the Disneyland app and "park hours" towards the end of March. On March 28, Disneyland goes from saying "closed" to "schedule unavailable."

Couple this with GWL and Cedar Fair as well as Six Flags claiming "spring" openings...I don't know...seems like maybe they know something we don't yet know.

I've been seeing "schedule unavailable" at varying times the past year in the app so I don't really think it means that much sadly . I got my hopes up one too many times every time I saw it before.

Yikes, I hope this is all real. Between the first official opening announcement since before the winter surge (VGC), good national news on vaccine production, plummeting hospitalizations, etc...I haven’t been this confident in DLR opening since I was SO SURE they would open in August/September

but...May/June is a long time away.

Forget the color tiers which is just some made up charts. They are backed by someone saying 5 is the # for example.

with that said hope DL opens up no later than May 2021.
