VGC owners should write to Terri Schultz (
terri.a.schultz@disney.com) to voice their opinion and options for owners unable to use their points for an entire year at their home resort.
I wrote her and she (or rep) responded that they are finalizing options. It was unclear what they were, but I gave my opinion.
A voucher for GC would be appropriate balance of not draining point demand on future DVC stock while also filling the hotel with loyal customers -- or open the hotel rooms on the same wing when VGC reopens ahead of GC and allow usage there for expiring points to be used. Being creative with leveraging GC rooms when in this bind.
