Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

Saying the same thing a slightly different way: unless Disney opts to add 30 bonus days, no one should expect their pass to be valid for more than about 365 days total when the park was open (subject to pass type blackouts). So if a pass expires during the closure, you don't get the entire length of the closure added to your pass; just adds the number of days you missed out on while your pass was unusable before it expired. If someone had 3 months left on their pass, they only get 3 months added. They don't get the full 6+ months Disneyland has been closed added on. Hope that makes sense.
Ok, so since My AP expires 9/4, I will get up to approximately 5 1/2 months from the reopening date? I was on the monthly plan so I would then also start to be charged my monthly payments after reopening as well.

I thought they would do away with the horse the first time I saw it freak out because of a balloon got caught behind the hindleg. Luckily for the Meredith CM was able to calm the horse down and dismount safely.

I am GUESSING they will take into account blocked days. For example, my niece had about 70 days left on her Signature pass. I would HOPE, if they open back up in November, she would get 70 valid days (example, if they block her on the two weeks at CHristmas, those two weeks wouldn't count against her.)

This is what I am expecting. My original expiration date was 3/30/2020. Then during the closure it got expended to 4/30/2020 then 5/31/2020, then eventually just expired. I am assuming they will use the March expiration.

I emailed my DVC Rental Store travel advisor today to ask about my VGC res 9/13-9/17. She responded that "reservations through September 25th will be affected by the resort closure.". They are in the process of providing a full travel credit for my paid reservation (so that's good). So this looks like they do not anticipate opening before the 25th. Or "will be affected" in some way.

OK everyone, what do you say we get some fun "speculating" going again? What do you think will be the ride that the most people will want to ride first when they reopen? Me?
DCA: Cars ride (as my family calls it)
Disneyland: Probably anything at Galaxy's edge, but my oldie but goody pick would be Pirates.
Thank you for posting the great ice breaker question! Looks like everyone is having fun answering. :)

We have a routine on our first day in the parks. Our daughter picked up on this routine at age 6, and now we best not change anything. :) We usually fly in and get to the parks around 11am, so we immediately eat lunch since we have been up for a while at this point. We always eat at Pizza Port. We don't have a first ride always, but it is often Buzz and Star Tours. When we do return I think one of our first rides might have to be RSR. :)

I actually don’t have any ideas about what ride first. I just want to walk up Main Street and hear the music. Probably sit in the hub for a bit watching the park come back to life. And wander around. Do whatever the mood hits me! Based on how the low capacity has worked at the other parks, most wait times are minimal, especially in a park with Disneyland which will have so many rides but so few people.

I read some really bad news regarding the vaccines today -- the mRNA vaccines need to be kept at -4 deg F (Moderna) and -94 deg F (Pfizer), this is going to be a MAJOR issue going forward, most of these vaccines cannot just be stocked in a normal freezer, much less shipped via standard cold-chain logistics vehicles.
These are pretty standard scientific storage temperatures (-20°C, -70°C) typical for something as (relatively) fragile as RNA. Freezers that are capable of storing at these temperatures can be commonly found at vendors geared toward selling to the life sciences laboratory market. Temporary storage and transport can be accomplished using dry ice and/or liquid nitrogen.

Where do you find the color changes?
California county variance info: https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/#track-data (scroll down for the map with color coding and hover over a county for values and trend info)

I had my linked PH tickets (purchased from UCT) disappear from my app (my AP is still there). I went back to try to re-add them and it says the tickets are already linked to my account.

Anyone else experienced this? The PHs are definitely NOT showing up in my app right now.

Disney could probably drop the $10-12k for lab grade freezers to store vaccines for its employees, but this is cost prohibitive for a lot of smaller practices and your local neighborhood CVS. Competition will be higher for more shelf/conventional refrigeration products as a result.

I can see this being a union demand in the future and may affect full DL operations.

You are not alone: Tickets disappeared from app. IT must be hard at work!
Thanks; had not quite read far enough in that thread.

I hope they reappear soon because the last thing I want to do is go stand in line at a ticket booth.

I did do the screen shots as someone had suggested a few months (!!!!) back so I have those in a pinch but I also can print out the full sheets with the barcode, I suppose. I just want them visible in my app!!

I think the maintenance people who work on all the refurbishments must be thrilled to be able to do their work during the day without having to stop for park opening. I wonder if certain refurbishment can be done quicker now than under normal circumstances.

Your expectations are too high. Tickets disappearing from the app happen often (more so now admittedly but this has been an issue from day 1). A screenshot is just as good (and if you’re worried Disney might change something the paper backup in your purse/bag is always Best on your first day.
