Disneyland photo report! june 5th through the 10th.

Part 8!

After I assaulted the guy with the mohawk, I headed to the main gates so I could rent an ECV. Yes, unfortunately after 4 days of endless park hopping and running from one side of the park to another, I was pooped. I knew I could not stand another day of walking. My legs did not want to carry me, my entire back ached, and my bad knee hurt. Also by this point, I had developed a ruptured blister on my foot, due to the fact that my shoes were a little big. I was not a happy camper. I felt really weird about being 23 and being in an ECV. After a while, I got over it. But I think I will do what I can to avoid it on my next trip.

After renting the ECV, We headed straight to IJA, to take advantage of my disability. Is that wrong? I mean there are more people with larger disabilities than that that of my blister, and sore muscles and a bad knee. But I literally could not stand to walk for more than 50ft before I would have to stop and take a break. When you are 314lbs, and do disneyland all commando, like i do for four days, you hurt very badly on the fifth day.
There was at least one time on this day where my bad knee dislocated, that I remember. I want to say it happened more than once, but I'm not sure.

I know I could take it easier on those other 4 days, but I have to stop and ask myself. Would I? Something about disneyland just make me goes crazy with joy.

Anyway after getting on IJA uber fast, we did some other DL attractions before taking a trip to DCA.

Chris was determined to get a picture with a bellhop from TOT. He wanted a scary bellhop, but we had to settle for this.

Can Chris G look gangsta on an ECV?

After a ride on tower and I'm pretty sure a run on California Screamin, we headed back to DL to go on HM. Again, Chris wanted a picture with a butler.
This one came out better.

DUCKIES! DUCKIES! I LOVES ME SOME DUCKIES... especially with orange sauce. :rolleyes1

After we left HM we decided that since we were so close, we would hit up splash mountain.

After a ride on Splash, I put the camera away for a little while. We stopped over in Pooh's Corner and I bought a tigger tail. It was yummy!

I think by this time we decided to take our afternoon break, and headed back to the motel 6.

We relaxed for a little while, and tried to figure out what are priorities were for our last night in DL.

We came back to the park and met up with Amanda, her mother, and Chris S, and went to innoventions. I'm sorry, but innoventions does not warrant picture taking. So I didn't. I hate to say, but I am soooo tired if inoventions. It is becoming more and more like a bad infomercial.

After innoventions, I had another DL first. I ate at the plaza inn. The chicken was amazing. I will definitely be returning on my sept trip. I think my mom will love it.

After my amazing chicken dinner, we headed back to DCA to say good bye.

When I got up to take that picture, Davey Jones Hijacked the ECV.

As it got dark, we headed over to Paradise Pier, for one last ride on CS.

Part 9 is gonna be right behind this.

Ladies and Gentleman... we have come to the final chapter in my TR.

For those of you who have been following this TR, I want to say thank you. If you ever have a TR to share, let me know. I will be glad to hop on board and check out your awesome trip.

Let move on to the report.

As we headed back to DL, we made a point to do something I have never done. Through all my trips to DLR when I was a child or adult, I had never rode the Mark Twain. I was slightly worried that it would not run at night, but was very pleased to find out that it did.

We waited about 10 minutes before it pulled up to the dock and we boarded.

Me sitting down, because I was not able to stand for long periods.

I have to say that the Mark Twain is quite enjoyable and will try to include it on every trip i go on now.

After Mark Twain we rode BTMRR one last time. This is another one that becomes a completely different ride at night. Much like CS over in DCA, it is more intense at night.

Take my advice, if you have not been on either at night, you need to. It is awe-inspiring.

At this point it was quite late. It was about 11 PM, so we decided to head over to Main St. We browsed some shops for a little while and bought some fudge. There is nothing quite like DL fudge.

I took some last feeble attempts at getting my camera to take passable pictures of main street at night.

It was time to say good bye to Disneyland. I wanted to cry. I think I did a little bit. When I leave, it feels like I'm leaving a part of me behind. I don't feel complete without it. :sad1:

The next morning, we scrambled to get up and ready to check out. We had to sort through piles of dirty laundry, and get rid of some things that the hotel would not have been happy had they found. After doing several checks of the room to make sure we had everything, we checked out at about 10:30.

Amanda, her mother, and Chris G decided to go to New Port Beach. I wanted another dose of Disney, and since I was able to use the ECV the day before, I felt recharged.

Davey Jones, Chris S and myself headed to Downtown Disney. We had lunch at House of Blues. IMHO, I did not think it was that good. The food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was pretty nifty though.

.

After lunch, we headed to World of Disney for one last souvenir run. I did not really find anything I wanted besides a key chain. But I was satisfied with that purchase.

We headed back to the motel and met up with the rest of our party. From there, we made the long drive back to Arizona. All of us happy to be going home, but missing DLR already.

Well, once again, thank you for those who have followed along on this TR. I hope you enjoyed it.

As always, comments are appreciated!

I love the expression on Chris's face in the butler picture. He almost looks creeped out....

I know Chris still comes on DIS but I have not seen him post much lately. Though he is currently in the process of joining in on my sept trip to DLR. It isn't positive yet, but he is pretty sure he is going.
