Can anyone tell me what kind of plugs they have in the sequoia lodge and what adapters I need to purchase for the trip? Thanks

You with need a European plug adapter as they run on a different current and are a two pin, not three.

European plugs are a round 2 pin not flat 2 pin like the US have. Also you need to check the voltage of the electrical items you wish to use as Europe runs on 230-240 volts and the US is 110 volts. If the chargers state 110-230/240 you will be fine, if it only states 110 volts then you won't be able to use it.

Most chargers for cameras, laptops are usually fine though.

thanks, I will have to look into some, we want to bring our laptop and our camera batteries have to be charged too

Does anyone know if you can make your purchases on your hotel key like Wdw? Just trying to figure out if it is better to get Euros before we go

there is a similar system at DLP - you register your credit card at check in when you are getting your room key. In return you get a card called the hotel Easypass - you use this to charge items you buy/restaurant bills in the resort, to your hotel room.

so if you do this then all your charges at the park will be one lump at the end and only one foreign exchange rate fee? might do that and carry cash outside the park. Thanks.

Has anyone done the excursions by disney? We are doing the Magical Day tour of Paris they offer, would like to know exactly what it entails and what is done about lunch, I know it is out of our pocket but didn't know if they chose somewhere special or if it is free reign

Does any know about airport transportation other than the train and how we can book one, the tgv seems a bit pricey and we are scared we may miss it since we don't know the airport and the rer seems like a long confusing trip. Can someone give me some guidance, thanks

Much more info in the DLP forum: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77

Hope you enjoy your visit there! We really didn't (park is *beautiful* but just very poorly run. Inefficiency and poor park mousekeeping ran rampant last March)

We've just returned and found exactly the same. I saw things there I never see in the US and came to the conclusion that Europeans are the most obnoxious people en masse!!! But we still loved the Disney experience. And this was just our family's opinion.

I understand I need to be wary about the whole thing compared to Disney at home but I need help with Transport that will be cheapest, we don't have alot of money and already spent enough on Hotel, tickets and flight, can someone help, specifics, not the sticky transport board. I just got so overwhelmed there:confused:

Is it just from the airport Disney you need help with?

Not all Europeans ;) You will normally find a Brit being trampled on at a meet and greet or queueing somewhere ;)

Yep us Brits love a queue, we are just like the Russians when it comes to queuing. We just love joining one and having a moan about how long it is.

RapunzelFloyd the quickest way from CDG airport to DLP is via the TGV high speed train. it's a nice quick way from CDG to Marne La Vallee and you could buy your tickets when you arrive at the airport and then just jump on the next train.

The TGV will take you from CDG Airport Terminal 2 to the Disneyland Paris park gates in less than 12 minutes and will cost about $25 USD for an adult return if you book in advance. You can book tickets for the TGV train on www.raileurope.com and you can pay in USD too. Fully flexible tickets are available for an extra $4 USD.

The stations you need to look up are PARIS CDG AIRPORT to MARNE LA VALLEE CHES.

Yes, how true, I noticed that at all the character meets!!! There seemed to be no order to the meets at all. However, we are long past that so it really didn't bother us!

In my opinion both train options are difficult. Forget RER, you will have to get a train into Paris & then a train out to Disney. I considered TGV but you have to book in advance & I was worried about flight delays, missing train etc.

There is a bus Vea shuttle which goes straight from CDG or Orly direct to DLP. You pay as you get on and just get on the next bus that comes along so no worries about missing it. Easiest option by far is a private shuttle, costs between 60 or 70 euro but they pick you up at the arrivals gate & drop you straight to your hotel. We used Tio Shuttle & found them punctual & excellent.

VEA shuttle website at http://vea-shuttle.co.uk/timetables-prices/charles-de-gaulle-shuttle-schedules/ and seems to say the cost is 20 Euros per trip (? one way?) Not used the VEA shuttle before but have seen the buses stopping at the Disney hotels.

Definitely would avoid the RER if possible, it's about an hour trip into central Paris on one RER line then a transfer to another RER line that will take another hour to get to Disneyland!

Would agree with Jonjo about the TGV being the quickest - it really only takes 10 minutes to get between CDG and Disneyland! Though it seems rather expensive (I'm getting prices around 50-60 Euros return?)...

I agree avoid the RER it just takes too long. TGV is much cheaper if you book it in advance. You can book it up to 120 days in advance like the Eurostar trains.

My hubby just told me he wants to take me to Disneyland Paris towards Halloween but I am very overwhelmed, lol! Do we need to learn French to just go to the parks? Which hotels have A/C. We just did the dining plan at Disney World and loved it, is it worth it in Paris? Can we book a flight with our trip on Disney anywhere? Paris site is not as user friendly. If anyone can help with these questions, would be great. Thank you :figment::maleficen:hmghost::sulley::stitch:

So how do I go about the transportation? We are heading out of Texas, so I know we need to book the plane and then from the airport, what do we do? They don't have a bus like Disney world do they? On the site the transportation doesn't show anything from airport.

we are going end of september early october to still catch the 20th anniversary and maybe some halloween? So is the train by the airport too? If I do the paristrain website and book train can we just walk to it? Planning on the sequoia for hotel

Wow, my husband recently informed me that he wanted to take me to Paris! And at the end of September/beginning of October. And we'll be flying out of Texas on a connection. We are originally from Texas but moved away a year ago!

Anyway, we'll be staying in central Paris and visiting DLP just one day, maybe two. I guess well be able to stay till park closing and still be able to take the RER back???
