After first discussing that we would go at the end of May 2011, we have concluded that we simply cannot wait that long and are considering going on the 20th December for 2 nights. Ive never been to any Disney park at Christmas so have no knowledge on crowds or festivities, and, I know theres many on here who have experienced it before, so i was wondering, crowds wise, would this date be suitable? When do things really start getting busy? Or do you think I should try and change my dates? We cant really go much before the 17th December, and we'd like to be home for Christmas. I fully understand there will crowds around this time, whichever date we choose, but we'd like to experience the Christmas theming, without feeling crammed together :)

My brother and his wife went a few years ago, I think on 24-28th December and told us it just wasnt worth it with the high prices and large queues and crowds, so its put us off a little if im honest, and im needing some encouragement.

Can anyone who has experienced these dates help me out a little and tell us what their opinions of it were? Thanks for any help

Dan.

Those dates, although they are not a weekend, are going to be very, very busy as the schools will have broken up and there will be lots of people doing exactly the same as you and getting a dose of the Magic before spending Christmas at home.

I've spent Christmas at both DLRP and WDW and there is nothing as magical as a Disney park at Christmastime :santa: so I would say so long as you are not too fussed about rides and are prepared for huge crowds and even huger queues then go :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 and revel in the decorations, parade and atmosphere. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

if you dont mind the cold and can deal with huge queues then go for it.

although i would love to go for the atmosphere it wouldn't really be for me. my dd is three so it would be quite cold and too busy for her. she likes to get stuff done lol
