Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (September 4-7)

Not sure if there will be enough data points to make sense of corral placement but need both bib # and POT/time estimate together.

How early should you get to the start for the half to line up? He was thinking he could show up at 4:30 but is that enough time? Should you get there earlier depending on where you are going to be lining up based on time? IE closer to the front, earlier to line up? So if the race starts at 5, should he be there at 4? Is that enough time? Thanks so much, this is his first time running a Disney race.

ETA: He just got his number 100xx for the half.

That number looks like a corral A (correct me on POT if i’m wrong), the security procedures are significantly worse at DL, they use standard metal detectors and the line can get backed up. I think it’s gotten better since I did it in Jan 2024 but I’d try to get to the security line around 3:30 to be safe. 4 SHOULD be ok but if the line is backed up a lot he might be rushing to the corral.

POT is Proof of Time, used for some corral assignments (if youre over the 2:30 POT threshold you put in a pace estimate). He likely submitted it when he first signed up and yes, that POT should put him in the first corral.

Thank you for explaining it to me! I’d have to ask him which race he used but that sounds correct to me. I’m 100% just a part of the cheer squad for everyone. . I’ll be there rooting you all on and that is the extent of my running knowledge. Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it.

So I’ve got a favor to ask. Due to a sorta family emergency stuff we’re pushing my arrival date to Thursday morning. (Was supposed to get in tomorrow) The one and only thing I want to absolutely make sure I get is the jacket. (I do want the I did it shirt but that’s less of a concern) I’ve lost over 50 pounds since my last RunDisney race. To say the least none of my old jackets fit me and I’ve been looking forward to getting a new one.

There is no way I can get to the expo in time to get the challenge jacket/sweatshirt/whatever it ever is in my size and I would like to avoid the resellers. I will pay someone either from the club or who has a good queue number. Since even if I land at a good time I can’t get to the expo for a couple of hours. And meet up as soon as I can get to the expo or at parks (depending on flight could be mid morning to early afternoon)

For the Halloween run last year, I was 415xx and in B, and 310xx for the 10k and in C. For the DL runs earlier this year, I was 411xx for the 5k and in B and 303xx for the 10k and B.

402xx for the 5k
202xx for the Challenge.

Was expecting that for the 5k since I'm usually in A. Was not expecting that for the Challenge. Since that is still on my 1:55 POT. I am kind of wondering if there is some slower As this time? Because that POT usually lands me in A/B. Not this low of a corral number historically. I don't normally get a double A for the challenge. This same POT got me 213xx for January.

Nobody posted their corral and bib info in last years thread or this years January half thread, from what I can see. The DL threads tend to have less participants on this board and most people just post their bib numbers instead of bib and POT/pace, which makes it difficult to do anything with the data points. And DL usually has more corrals than the WDW races.

2:00-2:15 should be second POT corral.

As an extra data point, and I don’t have my bib info offhand, but I put in a 2:06 POT for last years DL half and ended up in corral B. However, I also put in a 8:00-10:00 min estimate for the 10k and was placed in corral D for that race. Assumption is that so many people marked themselves as having a <8 min pace that they had to back up the rest of the corrals. Not sure what the split was, if I had to guess, they had A and B for <8 min and at least C and D for 8-10 min and I was just unlucky.

Challenge bib has been listing two corrals for the two races and I would expect that to continue.

My bib is 231XX for the challenge and I don’t have a POT so this bodes well for me but I’m a bit surprised. Maybe I got lucky this year and I’ll not be in the back
