Disneyland on Getaway

I think it must have been filmed reasonably recently - everyone had jackets on, and as it wasn't decorated for anything this would mean probably January or February in California. It's the only time of year you'd really need a coat like that during the day.

I was there in mid-January so the reasons I was thinking it wouldn't have been before then was

They went on its a small world which was closed for Christmas decoration removal for that period (and all the water was removed etc etc)

There were clear shots of Main Street and the horses (I think?) and whilst I was they had begun repaving of Main Street and had lots of areas blocked off with large ugly blue barriers, and the horses werent out.

I'm not really sure how long all that took though or whether it was a short reno...

I'll think probably February that they were there then

It was quite disappointing. I hope the WDW segment will be alot better. I am starting to think of a trip for us to WDW , just dont know where to start!!

I found it pretty appalling, much like most of you seem to!
It was nice to see something about Disney on Australian travel for once, though, as the only time I've ever caught a Disney program on TV was a Sam Brown special which has remained in our foxtel IQ for the past 2 years!! :rotfl:

I think the food bit bothered me the most - they made it out like it was a children's carnival with junk food and nothing else.
There's a lot of quality dining at Disney and I wish they'd done something on the Blue Bayou or Napa Rose.

Should be interesting to see WDW...

I agree with all the previous opinions, it was dreadful. Although always wonderful to see DL, they would have been better off getting an Aussie who knows something about the place, has been there before and loves it, they could have tried to show the wonder that is DL. As for Toontown, it wasn't even mentioned. I think the segment was best watched on mute.
