Hi,

My DD8 and I will be visiting my sister and niece in Downtown Los Angeles the last week of July.

We are planning to go to Disneyland one day during that week.

Can you please tell me anything I need to know? :worship: I know nothing. Lol

Should I buy my tickets ahead of time or at the park. Any suggestions where we should eat? What are must do's?

Sorry so vague. This is a last minute trip and I have no idea where to start.

Thanks!

First off, lucky you for visiting! Second, is there a way to make your DLR visit more than 1 day? In summer? Both parks need to be seen and both have so many things you'll want to do that one day will leave you feeling frustrated, I'm afraid.
Yes, get your tickets ahead of time at Dissey.com..they are cheaper that way.
Arrive super early, already fed and have plenty of your own water and be ready to go at it. Figure out a plan to get a fastpass for Star Tours if you want to ride that. Check out the touring plans..if you really can only go one day, I think the Unofficial DLR Guide may have a sized down touring plan, but really, 1 day will not do it.

If it has to be one day, you'll probably only make it to Disneyland and not California Adventure. You'll have to decide if you think you can do both...cuz otherwise you can buy a non park hopper (so a ticket just for disneyland). It'll be a little less.

Because you only have one day, I'd stick with fast walk up service type places. (Corn dogs etc).

We prefer buying tickets online..not a requirement tho.

If it is a day trip in July then go on Wednesday if possible. Crowds are a little lower and there is no Magic Morning that day.

I would say yes, buy your tickets online ahead of time at Disneyland.com

It will save you time at the parks, so you aren't waiting at the ticket booths.
It will not save you any money. Discounts aren't given for 1 day or 2 day tickets, whether they are "parkhopper" tickets (that means you can visit both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day "hopping" from park to park) or 1 park per day tickets.

Disneyland will be open from 8 am to 12 midnight. I would plan for a long day and get there by 7:30 so you can spend as many hours as you can tolerate out of your day.

Must do's:

Mr Toad's Wild Ride
Peter Pan's Flight
The Haunter Mansion
The Jungle Cruise
Matterhorn Bobsleds
Pirates of the Caribbean pirate:
