Alright,
Taking my family of four, DD 7 DS (soon to be) 4 and DW 29 :rolleyes1, down to DL on the week of 6/12 - 6/18. It will be my kids first time to Disneyland but my daughter has been to WDW.
I need everyone's help to find the best deals. I'm planning on just staying at one of the motels right across from the park. We're not picky about the place but closeness/price is the biggest thing for me. It would be nice to have a refridge or good continental breakfast but again price and closeness are more important.
Does anybody know any good discount codes? Looks like HOJO is booked for the week but it is kinda far for me anyway.
I think I am out of luck for any ticket discounts...:sad1: so I'll try my luck at the discount tickets.com site. However if someone can walk me through the last minute ticket.com buying process I'd appreciate it. I always have problems finding the site and when I do it is difficult for me to find what I want.
Also, any good food or restaurant discounts or any other deals for the week that would be great. Sorry, I'm poor.:sad2:
Thanks and I'm sure I'll see you on TLM ride (just won't know who you are :rotfl:)!

I can't give you any discounts, but watch for restuarants.com to have their specials a few of the DTD restaurants pop up there :)

Have a great trip we're there june12-17 :)

Using the lastminutetravel.com, you can look within .5 mile of DCA (after you enter dates and general location, select 'landmark" on the next page). Next, sort by price. You can see by looking at the PHOTOS that the cheapest place is the Castle Inn & Suites. I did this for a cheap last minute trip at the end of April. Um... best I can say is that housekeeping does a great job with what they are working to keep clean. It is very old in style and maintenance. Rooms are dark. The prison motif (I mean CASTLE motif) is very visible as you walk home after a long night. I think they keep it so clean to ensure that bugs don't get a foothold. It is walkable, just a minute or two farther than HOJO, and no breakfast. I will probably not stay there again. $63 plus tax, free parking, free internet...that works better the closer you are to the lobby. Each room has a refrigerator.

...let me see if I can figure out the next hotel using my superhuman decoding skills... Hopefully someone will come up with something better in the meantime.

I'm pretty sure the next one is Red Lion right on the corner of Katella and Harbor. It is $69 + tax, plus $14 parking, I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I think internet is free and breakfast is $10 with kids under 11 eating free, but you should double check with the Red Lion website. This would be a 14 min walk, and using that as a guide, HOJO would be about 10 and Castle Inn and Suites would be 12 minutes.

See you on the bobsleds... Oh ya, nevermind.

That is pretty tempting with the fridge and free parking. Dark rooms arn't bad if it's quite and resftful.
You make it sound sort of scary though...

Yeah, definately getting a little far. But Thanks, you're being very helpful.

My 12 year old son (remember, this was a last minute trip, so he was just grateful to be at DL) humbly mentioned that the hotel was not the best we had stayed in. I said yes, that if I was trying to impress someone, I would not take them there.

If you end up there, take the top floor to avoid hearing the upstairs neighbors. The ceiling/floor was loud when they were walking around at midnight.

Good tip!
No problems using last minute? I had a nightmare using orbitz once so I am always weary when using these types of companies.

No problems, but my purchase was pretty straight forward. They charge you at the time of booking and I am not sure how they handle cancellations. If you are very close to the date of your travel, you have to ensure that the "Status" shows as "Available" not "On Request". If it is "on request" you have to call and I think the CSR said that it takes 48hrs to complete the reservation.

LOL,
Maybe I should push the trip back a little to a weekend day so I can catch it.

I seriously thought about it! BUT I already had to push this trip from april till now! I think if I moved it again my 3 year old will shank me! Especially since June 12 is her 4th bday :rotfl2:

You should check on

Del Sol,
Anaheim plaza Inn,
Then the Castle Inn and Suites

If you want to add 5 minutes to the walk
Quality Inn Anaheim Resort

After that probably expect to take a shuttle, or pay $15 to park in a disney lot.

You might be a little late to find good deals plus with it being summer season the closest hotels will all be about $100+/night.

We are still waiting to find out if there are any ticket deals from DL for the summer season. You don't need to purchase tickets till right before your trip so I would keep waiting for the specials.

If you will have a car you can priceline/hotwire a hotel.

I got the Doubletree in Orange (a few miles away) for $44/night + tax. They do charge a $12/night parking fee. They DO have a complimentary shuttle that runs every hour to DL. They do NOT have a complimentary breakfast. The only thing with Priceline is they only guarantee a room for up to 2 people.

I can do the Quality Inn for the 80's. What do people think of that one?
Everything else seems to be at least $110.

Sounds good to me. It's on Lastminutetravel.com for $75/night. I am 99% sure it is the one that is "13.67 Mile(s) To Airport" when you search for hotels near Disneyland. It has free breakfast. I think there is a small charge for parking, but not sure. It is a little farther as it is on the other, SW corner of the resort.

Do you mean for $84? I'm starting to wonder as I didn't see either of your $60's priced mentions in ther at all?

Click the Landmark button on upper right under filter. Then choose Disney California Adventure instead of Disneyland...
