We have a 4 day park hopper, what ID do we need to bring on our first day to the park? Tickets are on my phone in the app. We are from Canada, do we need to bring our passports? Can’t remember from our last visit.

You don’t need an ID. They will take your picture the first day you enter and it is associated with your ticket.

If the tickets are Canadian resident tickets, you'll need ID the first time you go to the turnstiles, we had to show our passports the last 2 times we used Canadian resident tickets, but some have gotten through with just showing their driver's license. Regular tickets you won't need ID.

Assuming their system is working correctly and you are using regular tickets, yes. I've seen several occasions where their system isn't working properly and they request ID from all the adults in every party, though.

Thank you everyone for the replies, don’t love having our passports with us but think I will bring them to be safe on day 1.
I agree, maybe someone can confirm here- are lockers back in service again?

If so it would be a good idea to lock them up so you can ride things and enjoy day without worry.... just set a phone reminder or alarm to NOT forget them before exiting park at end of night. :)

You will need ID for Canadian tickets to prove your address for the tickets. Just like if someone is using the military tix, the first day, they will need the military ID, or if you are coming on the Australian tix, you will need that ID. Or thee special SoCal tix will require an ID.

But using the regular Disneyland tix, generally no ID is required.

That said, if you plan to have alcohol, you will need ID (if out of country, need the passport.)

Assuming your arrival day is not your first day in the parks. Why not have everyone go to the ticket booth at the Esplanade with all IDs and Passports. Maybe they can then take pictures and scan fingerprints that link the tickets with individuals.

That way when you show up the following day, your tickets are ready to go and you don't need to bring your passports or other IDs.

Not sure if the Disney Ticket Booth at the Esplanade can even do this but if they can't, maybe they can direct you on information on exactly what you need to bring with you on your park day.

They don't. At Disneyland, they also do not use finger scans. The OP will need to take ID to the gate.

Also, they may need ID for credit card purchases and for alcohol purchases.
