Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (September 4-7)

Are you able to walk through the esplanade/Downtown Disney on race morning to access start/finish area? we are coming from Dland hotel, just trying to plan how long it will take to walk.

As an extra data point, and I don’t have my bib info offhand, but I put in a 2:06 POT for last years DL half and ended up in corral B. However, I also put in a 8:00-10:00 min estimate for the 10k and was placed in corral D for that race. Assumption is that so many people marked themselves as having a <8 min pace that they had to back up the rest of the corrals. Not sure what the split was, if I had to guess, they had A and B for <8 min and at least C and D for 8-10 min and I was just unlucky.

Challenge bib has been listing two corrals for the two races and I would expect that to continue.
Can confirm A and B <8 min. I was also D | B for a challenge bib and thought it was a mistake so went to runner relations. They showed me their chart.

I can’t answer this, because I haven’t ran a DL race since they restarted yet. But on the Transportation and Parking Important Information page, it says there is a shuttle from the Disney hotels to the race starts.

From what I remember from 10 years ago, was that to go through the esplanade, you had to go through security. So maybe they are providing shuttles, so they don’t have to open that security early???
Hopefully someone with knowledge of recent races will be able to answer.

I don't mind a bus. :)

No idea what corrals I'll be placed in but have a challenge bib #221XX with no POT submitted (2:31-2:40 estimate for the half/8-10 minute mile for the 10k) for this race weekend.

For reference of past placements (with earliest non-POT half estimate/8-10 mm est. for 10k):

223XX E/D corrals (2024 Disneyland Half Weekend - Dumbo Double Dare)
216XX B/C corrals (2024 Halloween Half Weekend - Chills & Thrills Challenge)
218XX C/D corrals (2025 Disneyland Half Weekend - Dumbo Double Dare)

Good luck everyone. Should be fun!

Not sure what this year will be like but last year 13XXX was an E corral.

This year no POT for me but my bib is 14XXX with an estimated 2:40 finish.

Was hoping for a more direct Haunted Mansion print kind of shoe (beyond just the eyes on the shoelaces), but since I just found out the 17s don't work for me, guess I can't be too disappointed. I might actually try a pair if they make them in wide.

May I ask if you had issues with any previous Ghost shoes? I've been using them since the 4, but haven't had a chance to try the 17s yet.

My Bib number is only 9 away from last year! 209xx for the challenge. Last year I was in B with a 2:25 POT This year I had a 2:19. So maybe B again? I seem to remember only the first two were for POT...

So this seems to confirm that the race weekend shoe will be a generic color block of the theme. Good to know. I'm guessing they will rotate the base to whatever style they are pushing at the moment? At SS they were all about Ghost Max 2. Sadly, I can't do the Ghost 17 so I won't be jumping on these.

No. Have worn the last multiple versions. But this one--which is supposedly a touch narrower- is causing a pressure point/burn on the side of the ball of the left door. I tried to tape it, but since it's not a rub, but rather a squeeze?, it didn't work. I could have tried the 17 wide, but decided to give the Saucony Ride a go (in a wide). Ran in them this morning and the problem area wasn't a problem--but they feel looser, so will need to adjust the laces. And also, felt my big toe calluses act up.

Sigh. I don't know if the Ride regular width or Ghost wide width would be better, but don't want to keep bringing shoes back.

Super bummed the new Halloween ones appear to not be available in Wide. I love my Mickey ones I got in Wide. Guess I'll be saving money and not stressing about getting a VQ for the Brooks tent.
I get the $$ rationale, but I think it totally sucks not to offer their workhorse daily shoe in the wide width.

I wish they offered them in a narrow. I’m so sad they stopped selling the glycerin in narrows after the 20. The ghost is far less comfortable. That said, I would 1000% buy those ghosts this weekend if they had them in a narrow. 😭

I’m marking myself safe from buying any shoes. I’m in Adrenalines by doctor’s orders, and the generic runDisney design doesn’t do anything for me.
