Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2025

My hotel just screwed me over for my room. I had one of their high end suites, and now they are trying to give me two connecting rooms. It's like I'm telling them I'm losing a lot of space, and they're trying to say that two rooms costs more.

It might cost more, but it's not what I booked.

Now I'm trying to weigh my options, seriously 2 weeks before leaving.

I can’t imagine trying to run when the fire is just in the next city

First off, I am praying for everyone who is affected by the fires in the LA vicinity. My cousin was affected by a fire in Northern California about 10 years ago, and the entire town she was living in was decimated. This fire being so close to major housing areas is going to be devastating.

For Anaheim, though, they are mostly not in the path of these fires. The prevailing winds come from the coast generally WSW or SW. So the air coming into the Disneyland area is generally not affected by what is going on in LA. Disneyland is still running their fireworks as normal, with Mickey's Mix Magic with Fireworks scheduled for that weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) , and Fire of the Rising Moons on the same dates.

Keeping all those affected by the fires in my thoughts and prayers! 🙏
As someone new to the DL runs, do expo passes exist?

Any idea, when we should expect to see the digital in our registration dashboards
I just checked when I downloaded mine last year and it looks like it was the January 9 2024 so the Tuesday of Race weekend. I'd keep an eye for it to pop-up on Monday the 27th or Tuesday the 28th. It's always exciting to see what your bib number will officially be.

For gold club members, does early shopping start at 8 or 8:30? The email they sent out said 8:30 but the virtual hub says 8.

Now that we're less than one week away from the start of race weekend, how is everyone feeling heading into the race(s)?

This month has been very busy for me, so I'm hoping that races and a few days in Disneyland will be a nice respite before jumping right back into the fire after race weekend is finished. Training is fine and I need to remind myself to take it easy now and not train too hard.

runDisney Merchandise Question:

First, I usually get my stuff on the 1st day. All I really aim for are the magnets. I am not sure how fast the 'I Did It" magnets sell out. Especially at Disneyland. However, I will not be able to get to the Expo until Day 2.

I get super paranoid on things being monitored. If they do sellout and I buy one from ebay, is that frowned upon by Disney.

Disney got their money when the first person bought it, they don't seem to care about what people do with merch after that. If you miss out on something, go ahead and buy it online. But wait a little while for the price to go down, they're probably extra high during and right after the race weekend

Funny enough, I'm getting sent out to LA for work (we do emergency response for animals) and will actually be there during the first two races. The 5K is early enough I could actually get there and back before starting my shift, but I'm guessing there's zero chance of any bibs opening at this point, so I won't even bother considering it. ::sigh::

Yeah, it looks like the alerts thing shut down for these on Wednesday

Although things can change.. weather fcst has rain on the event hours…
I guess for the races we can manage with ponchos…I wonder if they can still proceed with yoga …

Hello!

We are staying at SpringHill Suites on Harbor and Katella for the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. I am running in the 10k and then we are planning to rope drop the park on Sunday. However, the half Marathon will still be going on so I am not sure how to get to the park, we are planning to walk but we would have to cross the half Marathon course to get to the park. Did I make a terrible choice with my hotel?

It rained during the second half of yoga last year. We were winding down the flow and moving towards savasana when the rain started. Thankfully it wasn’t pouring, but we were on our mat, facing up so at least I got pelted in my face.

At worst, the course directors will push you tot he "off Disney" side of Harbor until you get past Disney Way, then you're no longer on the course, and can do whatever. So, I'm thinking that, at worst, you'll just have to cross Harbor over and back.

You might also be able to just cross the street at Katella as long as there are no runners.
