After all that, none of the photos were that good due to the angle or lighting - luckily I had a couple people kind enough to take a photos on my cell for me (which I could check right there) that turned out great. So that's a good reminder NOT to only depend on the pro photos

Dont think it came up here but can confirm that challenge bibs had two corrals listed, one for 10k and one for the half.

Weird course from what I could tell, was wild to see people make their way into California Adventure and oh wait we’re already leaving CA to go backstage now and we’re going to do a good run around DL before heading back to CA for maybe half a mile. Obviously not there for this but I feel like I’d prefer not splitting it up like that.

I liked this year’s half course WAY better than last year. Can confirm the weirdness of in CA, out of CA, into DL than back to CA for a longer minute than the first. And I’ll take the neighborhood streets of Garden Grove and Anaheim over the parking lots and industrial parks of 2024.

Also liked that photo pass was included given the lack of photo ops (compared to WDW) And I LOVED the Coast to Coast medal.

Agreed on the weird course. Very disorienting compared to norm. My bike guide and I were talking they don’t think we’ll be using this course again due to the use of Garden Grove. Which probably is for the best

Goofy over at Cathay Circle was also out. And in a weird spot that I complained to one of our CMs about since he said he would pass the things on since they put him in a spot that made no real reason and was impossible to get to on wheels

See also the partners statue photo I would have loved to have gotten but the way they had the lights made it impossible

Black Widow and Dr Strange were also up on the platform. And I’m pretty sure the former remembered me from when I was collecting Avengers autographs on Thursday because I heard my name and she’s the only one of the four I saw that day:

Yeah while that’s nice (as someone who DLF due to medical at 2018 Dopey) be careful with that there’s been reports before of people turning that into a competition.

I think the weather today was perfect!

The course was good, I liked this one better than the one in last Sept; streets have plenty of space, the water stops didn’t create bottlenecks (at least not that I saw).

Coast to Coast medal made it worth finishing.. I was thinking on dropping out after the leaving the parks, but I kept going.. I almost PR (just two mins) unbelievable! after overdoing the parks these days.. (Dopey training I guess)

I really love going thru the parks, despite narrow points… then, unless a very astounding coast to coast theme, I think I will do only 5k/10k

Congrats everyone! I did the 10K this time (did HM for Halloween last time) and loved the course, which was largely spent inside the parks. No bottlenecks or tight turns that caused any issues. I loved seeing the lighting of the race theme and 10K logo projected across multiple areas (e.g., IASW, Carthay Circle). The only area of improvement we saw was that post-race signage for how to get back to parking is non-existent. For the Halloween HM we walked significantly out of our way, and this time too - security CM were unsure where there were exits, and could not direct us properly. We ended up walking a few blocks out of our way again to get back to Bullseye/Toy Story parking.

Honestly if there going to be using diff courses for diff weekends I would love for them to bring back the old northern route Tink used. I loved that one for some reason I’m now even fully sure on

Saw a crazy story, you know how there were two half marathons happening in the area yesterday, meaning some folks had a decision to make between one or the other? Well, one guy decided to do both anyway. O_O Started at the DL half, did it in 1:19, grabbed his stuff and headed over to Surf City, made it to the start with under a minute to spare, and finished that race in 1:35. Insane. Could be mistaken but it looks like there was a challenge involved with Surf City and yes, he did Dumbo. IG is bigbadwolf_82, needless to say he'd rather have these races scheduled on different weekends if possible.

Had a nice weekend despite my energy being low. I like the Disneyland races… even with the lower park time I think this half course is much better than the MW/Princess half course. I also left my hotel at 4:30 am on Saturday & was in the corral by 4:45 am so that’s pretty good. Also, I was featured by runDisney!

So fun to read everyone posts about the weekend, and thanks to everyone on this message board that helped me get excited for the weekend. I had a great time running the 10K. I've run 10+ races at Disneyland and I was happy to see a number of improvements from last years race weekend, little fixes that are getting us a little closer to the good old days before they paused the Disneyland races.
