You gals will be famous now...your VIP tour was just included on the DIS Unplugged BLOG! :woohoo:

Just read it. I'm wondering who in our group contributed to that article?

Just confirms to me that Ryan sucked as a tour guide. Next time, I WANT JD!!

The only real good piece of information I got from Ryan was that they are planning on creating a pathway between ToT and Bug's Land. If it's actually true, we'll have to wait and see. . . :rolleyes1

I'm watching my niece tonight so my sister & her husband can go out for Mothers Day (he works on Mothers Day so they are celebrating early).

Tomorrow I'm taking my mom, sister and grandma to Benihana's for lunch and then we are all going shopping.

Then on Sunday, my family is having a Mother's Day / Birthday party at my other grandma's house. We have several May birthdays in my family so they are doing all the May celebrations at once ;) .

How about you??
That sounds like fun!! Busy, but fun. And that's nice of you to watch your niece so they can go out. :)

Nothing special here. I mean, the usual homemade cards, LOL, and the kids will do more stuff around the house, we'll go out to eat, etc. but I told them I didn't want much since we are taking that week long vacation in June. I'd rather save the money for that. ;)

Huh? What does that mean?? :confused3 :rotfl:

Just having Brunch with my mom, sis & brothers. My B-day is on Wed so we will celebrate then too. :wizard:
Aww, well, HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY to you. Have fun! :yay:

I just read it too, and I second what Callie said......Ryan absolutely SUCKED!!!!! (Compared to JD.) :headache: (Yes, he was nice. And, okay, he was cute. But that's where his talents ended on our tour.)

Hmmmmm, I'm also wondering who in our group contributed to the article? Someone here is keeping secrets from us.....someone who was in JD's group.:scratchin

Ok--so can I just say--Ryan was my tour guide for the Holiday Tour last November and he sucked then too. I can't believe he's one of the "top" guides. Not anyone's fault . . . . . other than Ryan!

We are scheduled to leave on Halloween on a red eye flight, arriving 11/1--and leave in the evening of 11/8. It will be my first trip really--only have been to Florida in the 70's when there was just a Magic Kingdom (or part of one!) I'm taking my Mom (God willing) and we are using my Disney Vacation Club membership.

Cheryl--We took the red eye from LAX to Orlando in 06, because I needed to get every second out of my WDW trip! We landed at MCO, headded to Wilderness Lodge, had breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe and were at Animal Kingdom for rope drop. It was an exhausting day, but so fun! I just hope you and your mom get more sleep on the plane than we did. I guess we were just too excited, but I spent a lot of time watching the channel that shows you where your airplane is on a map of the US.
I can't wait to hear how your planning is going!
Tina

Cheryl, check your DVC perks online to see if there are any discounts for meals at restaurants at WDW. You might get lucky and get a small discount. I just remembered you have a DVC membership. You get a lot more of them at DL, unfortunately.

Oh yeah, hi all! rofl I get very focused on posting and forget to say hi.

Hey gals! It's Friday night and it's painfully quiet around here. Are y'all out on dates or somethin? :confused3

I'm at work until at least 10 pm. Just wonderin what everyone's doing tonight?

Anyone watch Lost last night? Can ya tell, I'm bored? :bored:

I'm just logging off, tired... haven't been sleeping well since our trip :confused3 You must be bored!!! This is what I see you doing... :surfweb:

Talk to you later! Remind me to tell you the remaining part of the story about my son!!! He's such a goofball!!! :cool2: But a cool one!!!

I am here and bored, too.:upsidedow
I am so bummed because I deleted my tags and lost my sponsorship icon as well. I posted on the tech help board with no replies in three days. :sad1: Maybe MaryJo can help me retrieve my icon? I really liked it and was proud that I paid (in appreciation) to help keep the DizBoards going. Anyway, I hope you are having a great night. I just poured my second glass of Chardonnay.;)

I'm here! No dates tonight--DBF moved to Fontana (which isn't necessarily a bad thing--isnt' that awful? I'm just so tired from the events of this week with Mom that I really don't want company.) He'll be here on Monday night. I'm going to L.A. tomorrow afternoon and staying in a hotel tomorrow night. I've actually been trying to get in touch with ex-BF who lives in Santa Monica--I'm actually getting worried because it's been three days and he hasn't returned my calls--really unlike him. We chat all the time (he's my CPA on top of ex-BF). Then I'm going to visit Mom on Mother's Day in the hospital and come home.

So that's my exciting weekend--don't know what I'll do in L.A. tomorrow night if I can't get in touch with ex-BF--maybe go see a movie or something. Or walk around Westwood (where I'll be staying).

Isn't it sad that it's almost as cheap for me to get a hotel room for the night than drive back and forth?

I'm just checkin' out the Dis and then will probably go to bed early so I can go to work first tomorrow before going to L.A. (Such an exciting life, right?)

You can tell me on Friday when we meet for dinner (with or without Ellen, I think we should still hook up). Sound good? Hope you sleep well tonight. This is what I see you doing. . . :faint:

Linda, bummer that you lost your tags and sponsor icon. :( Seems like a few people have accidentally done that lately when they were updating their profiles. Hope you get it fixed soon. Oh, and pour me a glass :drinking1 . . . I'm so bored I'm reading Lost blogs. :rolleyes1

Hi Cheryl! Hope you have a graet time in LA and that your ex gets back in touch with you so you have someone to hang out with tomorrow night.

Ok, they're starting to clean the carpets in my office (like shampooing them), so I may just get to leave early. :dance3:

I'm here too! I worked all day on a decent-sized catering job, and my husband just left to go to his parents' house, so I am single until tomorrow evening! This is strange for us because we work together, so we're pretty much always together. But his mom wanted all of her kids to come out and work on her yard for her Mother's Day present, and I wasn't too interested. So I'm home eating baguette and balasmic vinegar for dinner and loving it!

Mmmmmm, carbs. :cloud9: Pass some over. Now just have Linda share some wine with us and we'd be all set!

Speaking of wine, I found myself some of that Gnarly Vine Zin that we had at the wine tasting. I bought 2 bottles.

So do you and your dh have your own catering business? What kind of food do you specialize in?

I'm here but I too am tired and bored. I have no plans for the weekend. I love dh but he hasn't done a whole lot over the last 7 Mother's Days so I'm not really expecting anything :sad2: Selena (oldest) made me a present at school can hardly wait to give it to me.

Happy Mothers Day (in advance) to you all!!!

I'm sure once you get the attention of one of the techs they can restore everything! Enjoy your wine!
