Can anyone explain the following line from the fine print section of the Fall Disneyland deal that includes a free character dinner

FREE CHARACTER DINING EXPERIENCE
"Not valid for World of Color Dinner Packages at Ariel's Grotto or Wine County Trattoria but may be applied up to its retail price at any other Disney owned and operated full-service or counter-service restaurant at the Disneyland Resort."

Am I to understand I can walk up to a counter service such as Taste Pilots' Grill and order $60 worth of food for the family and use an adult and child voucher to pay for it?

I apologize if I have totally misunderstood the deal.

Thanks for the answers. Spending time on these boards makes me feel like a Disneyland Pro

That's what it sounds like. You can apply the value to a Disney owned and operated dining location.

I'm curious as to where you got the $60 amount? I didn't see that amount specifically in the fine print.

Also, all the marketing lingo says you get one Magic Morning, but I have "heard" that once you check in they tell you that you are entitled to all the Magic Mornings available during your stay. Is this correct?

Good question. I'm having a hard time even find availability for this promo.

The online CMs don't have a clue. ;)

$60 is probably a roughly exagerated sum of the cost of two character meals.

Often times Disney says come for two days and at the least you will have one MM during a two day visit. It is correct that during your stay you can use every MM available, you just need your room key and a park ticket.

I just figured $60 from the price for an adult and child voucher, $39 and $20.

Here is my situation. We had already budgeted for the family to eat at Goofy's, but with the this deal we can use the vouchers for the girls to visit Ariel's grotto and the boys to do something else.

The boys have no desire to see the princesses.

Instead of eating at another character dinner, the boys and I would just grab lunch from a counter-service somewhere and get on some rides.

I thought I read somewhere that Taste Pilot's Grill wasn't a Disney run restaurant...but I could be wrong. You might want to call Disney Dining to find out & maybe they'd know the value of the vouchers as well. :confused3

You can use MM any day it is offered if you are staying at one of the DL resort hotels.
