Disneyland Divas: Working out, getting healthy and thin in 2010!!

Hey everyone!
This is the first time I've been down two weeks in a row! I only lost 0.4lbs but that's better than a gain. I really thought I was going to gain since we had Anais' party with carnitas, refried beans, quesadillas, ice cream, cake, etc. I'm not sick anymore so I'm ready to go back to the gym again.

I'm only 1.8lbs from -10lbs!:thumbsup2

Great job!! I think I'm about 2 1/2 from 10 pounds.

I just got back from weigh in and I GAINED 2.6 lbs! I have no idea what happened. I started a new strength training routine this week and had some meals out which may have contained more sodium but still...My husband says that I will show an amazing loss next week and I really hope he is right. I even went above 200 again which sucks.

Wow! Where is everybody? I was down almost 4 pounds today, since last Monday. I didn't do any exercise Saturday or Sunday, and if I had, I probably would have hit the 4 pound mark. Oh well, it doesn't help that Aunt Flo is visiting. Maybe that means next Monday will be even better!!

Congrats!!:thumbsup2

Ugh. That's frustrating. Well...GOOD JOB on the exercise and I bet your DH is right. Keep with the program!! :woohoo:

I did 60 minutes of low intensity cardio on Monday and a short run today. Am hoping to do weights tomorrow, but time is a bit tight.

Good wishes to everyone!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

Trying hard to stay away from the cake batter...making St. Patricks day cupcakes. I have already eaten at least a cupcakes worth but I did find out the points for it so at least that is something. I am worried that I am underestimating the amount I had so I might add an extra point or two for good measure. Dh says he can tell I am stressed or upset because that is when I feel the urge to bake...interesting observation. I'll have to give that some thought.

I went to Hometown Buffet today.

But it's okay because I didn't eat extremely bad food or large amounts. I started with a big salad with italian dressing. They didn't have fat free so I just used a little bit.

Then I had a lean slice of ham, 1 chicken drumstick, small amount of pasta and about 1/4 c. of mac and cheese.

For dessert I had a small serving of the frozen yogurt.
I drank water and diet coke.

I was satisfied but now I know why we don't go to HTB anymore, it's too expensive and the food aint' so great.

For dinner I had 1/2 serving of my wok smart combo from Pick Up Stix and a grande skinny vanilla latte. + 2 cups of water.

I hope everyone else had a good day.
I went to Disneyland to see if there were any special St. Patty's Day stuff and I didn't eat anything there! :thumbsup2

Just a quick hello. I am holding my own but not really losing. Have really struggled with getting back to excercising since my vacation. We have something every stinkin night for the kids which is killing me. I am after all the just say no Mom, and yet, here we are! My 13 year old had a 14 hour day yesterday with Jazz Band at 0 period and then wrestling after school and then spring band concert and then homework. I am seeing a lot of growth in responsibility though, as he is takin care of business even with a full plate. Gives me hope for high school years.

Jen, your fitness routine amazes me! I am lucky if I can fit in 3 days a week. I know what you mean about the cold! I am not one for living it on a daily basis for sure!

Sarah, hang in there, you will be right back to losing if you stay the plan.

Cristabel, great job managing those tempting places. I tend to blow it when in those environments. Shared breaded chicken tenders with my son after a late night appointment because that was all there was and I didn't feel like spending more money on other bad food when I knew he wouldn't eat all of his. So it was portion controlled anyhow!

Where is everyone? Hope all is well and you are staying on your plan:thumbsup2

Read this one lately, and liked it.

Lately feeling like I'm doing the biting part, now just need to chew.

Yeah! :cool1:
You ROCK Wendy Lady!!!
Go girlfriend! :woohoo::woohoo:

I'm having a rough day. Went into an interview for a job on Friday and haven't heard back and I'm feeling the sting of rejection. I know intellectually not to take this jump hunt thing personally, but hard to put that knowledge into practice.

DH is out of town on business, so I'm holding down the fort here in Switzerland. We went to a playdate today to one of Max's friends (I'm organizing playdates at others people's houses since my apartment is a little small for guests) and then the navigator took us home through Zurich, which added on an extra hour as I was parked in commute traffic. It was a very frustrating experience.

And I lost my little wrist band things that gets me into the gym, so I didn't go to the gym today.

I'm in a funk. Nothing a little cardio won't cure. Will get to the gym tomorrow, even if I have to pay for another wrist band (ugh!)

Hope you are all doing well.

Great job, Wendy!!

I'm down another 1 1/2 pounds, so 9 total so far. Maybe by next Monday I'll get my 10 pound banner!!

I weighed in yesterday and I was up 0.8lbs. I didn't worry too much about it because we had salty foods throughout the weekend so I'm sure I was a bit bloated.

This week, I hit the ground running. Monday I ate healthy and drank my water. Today I got my exercise out of the way by going in the morning with my friend, Nicole from WW. I'm really disappointed that it's taken me forever and I have yet to reach a 10lb loss but I know it's because I have not exercised in the past few weeks like I was doing in the month of February. It all started to fall apart the week of our trip and I just never picked up the slack afterward.

I do notice that Nicole is 100% determined and focused while I'm taking the "scenic route" and getting lost but I am under a lot of pressure at school this semester so I'm getting distracted.

I'm excited for summer break because although I will be taking 1 - 2 classes at my local community college, it will not be as hectic as it is here.

I plan on doing two-a-day workouts in the summer to get the most out of my summer break and to get smaller, faster. Thankfully we have a lot of barbecues at my aunt's house during the summer because they have a pool and she lets me come over as often as I want to use the pool. I won't have a gym membership so it will be my responsibility to get out of the house early in the morning before it's 100+ degrees to exercise and walk the dog. I'm hoping to re-learn how to ride a bike so Jingles and I can go on the trails. She's a super work out buddy because she isn't yanking on her leash but rather keeps up to your pace, well she's faster than me so I have to keep up to hers  but that is only benefiting me.

Sorry for my blog but it helps to write all these things out and "talk" with you ladies. If I don't, my head is just overrun with thoughts and I can't concentrate on whatever task is at hand.

thank you all for being so supportive and encouraging! :grouphug:

Great job! Keep up the great work!

I had a great loss this week and am now down 90 lbs total! Woo Hoo! Sorry I haven't been on much but I have been working a TON of overtime the past few weeks and I am no longer able to get on the boards from work. I think of you all all the time! I am trying to work out but I hurt my shoulder pretty bad so I am taking it easy working out wise for a couple days.

Sorry about your gain this week. Can I ask how your journaling and point count went? Did you stay on program and still gain?

Glad to hear that you have support like Nicole to help you stay focused and on program. :thumbsup2

You can do it Cristabel!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Congrats!!! :cool1::cool1:

I see the 10lb. banner very soon in your future!! :woohoo:

The nice weather is arriving and I've dusted off some of my old capris. Feeling a little snug I'm afraid to say. :sad2:

I'm exercising, but not enough cardio and I'm not changing my diet. Without eating less, the weight doesn't want to come off.

Keep up the great work ladies!! :cheer2:

Hi everyone!
I've been doing (I think) really well. I've been on program all week and I've gone to the gym T-TH like I planned! I even walked the dog today for about 40 minutes :) I even got some weight training in on Wednesday in addition to my cardio. I'm hoping for a good loss on Monday. Since I'm on spring break I will have to weigh in at a WW here by my house. I'm very comfortable with the WW I've been attending by school so it's a bummer!

Tomorrow I'm visiting my grandma :goodvibes in Lancaster for a couple hours and on Saturday we're going roller blading and I'm looking forward to it!

This upcoming week is going to be a challenge because I'll be home, out of my safe food haven. I think I'm going to get a trial membership at LA Fitness so I will make sure to get my exercise in.

Hey, you'll be in my neck of the woods this weekend. :)

I have made plans with a friend to start training for a 5k. We are starting in May and hope to do a 5k in September or October! Crazyness!

Yeah!!

Haven't been to the gym in a week thanks to my shoulder issue and scheduling issue and illness. Hopefully will get to go tomorrow after work. Doing fine food wise so far this week.

Where is everyone?
