Disneyland Divas: Working out, getting healthy and thin in 2010!!

I'm here! My sciatica has push a kebosh on working out. :( I've been eating well, but staying off the scale. My size 10 pants needed a belt yesterday, so that's my victory of the week! :) We leave for Maui on Monday -- EEK!

That's fantastic, Callie!
My official wi is tomorrow, but I took a peek this morning, and I am the same as I was last Friday. I'm really bummed about that, because I have been super-careful about what I eat. I know that I need to up the exercise, but the rainy weather just makes me want to put my jammies on and snuggle down.

That is EXACTLY how I feel!! I won't know until next Monday if I lost/gained/maintained this week so maybe I should pump up my exercise between now and then...

Inspired by Sarah, I pushed my cardio up to 55 minutes today. Also, finally signed up for the fitness testing and initial fitness program with the gym. Must concede that I do need a little guidance to keep me working to stay fit. I seem to always let myself do just a little less than is really needed.

And for the QUOTE OF THE DAY

Glad to hear I inspired you! Yesterday was my strength day so I did 40 instead of my normal 30 minutes of cardio for warm up and then I did my st circuit. I feel a soreness in the back of my calf/thigh near my knee. Anyway tonight I am doing 55 minutes of cardio again and making chicken stir fry for dinner - yum!

Have a great day and don't forget to drink your water!

EEK Now that I'm back on for the Feb trip, I guess I'd better get my butt in gear or my butt won't fit in my jeans!!!

Keep up the great work everyone! :cheer2:

Yay for Callie! :woohoo:

Keep up the good work everyone! :thumbsup2

Welcome back Beth.

Have a happy and healthy day. :goodvibes

Well I had a 1 pound loss for the week, so I'm officially down 9 pounds. After 2 weeks of big losses, it was a frustrating week for me. More exercising and more water are in the cards for me this week!

Yay for a pound! Keep up the good work. :thumbsup2

9 lbs is great! Keep up the good work...I am only down 1.4 in the past 3 weeks so 9 is like :worship:

Wow, slow here today. I guess that makes sense...everyone was over on the main board making plans! I did my 55 minutes on the eliptical today plus 10 minutes of cool down since my show wasn't over yet! My legs have been sore so I didn't have a lot of extra oomph but I kept my heart rate up past 150 so I feel ok about what I did...plus I was sweating like crazy!

I made chicken stir fry for dinner which turned out quite well but since I still had so many points left I also had a bowl of baked potato soup...no where near as good as the stuff at Carnation Cafe though...and now I am stuffed! I just want to go to bed but the kids aren't down yet so I guess I should work on that first.

I will be going to the gym again tomorrow since the kids area is open till 1pm and it will be 40 minutes cardio plus my st circuit. Fun Fun.

HOpe you all are doing well and don't forget to drink your water!

Hi Gals,
The last couple of days have been busy. I have stayed on plan for the most part but last night hubby and I went to a big party at the top of the SpaceNeedle. It was really fun and Bill had a great time, which I love to see. So last night I did eat way to much, but I made the rule nothing with breading. So, avoided stuffed wontons, fried wontons with stuff on it, egg rolls, little sandwiches, and quesadillas. But I had a huge pile of giant prawns, too many proscuitto wrappped asparagus, stuffed mushrooms (I took the stuffing out of most of them !) and little pieces of bbq'd boneless short ribs. With the 3 beers that I had I am guessing I was in the 20 point range for that night! But I have not used any flex points all week, so I am not stressing about it and am moving on!

Sarah, I think you do need to just stay focused on your routine and being healthy. Don't worry about the short term scale report. I will tell you that my brother who does ww also, says that he always has a big loss after sort of going off plan for one day (or having a flex splurge?) It seems to restart his metabolism going again.

Jen,
I'm telling you I could not do what you are doing for sure! Good luck with the job counciling. I did find for myself that staying home was not a good fit, back when my youngest was a babe. I went back to work when he was 14 months. Now that the kids are in school all day, staying home sounds wonderful!

Beth, you're going again! Whoo Hoo! I'm happy for you. Okay I better go read the other thread now!
Callie, congrats on your baggie size tens! That is awesome.

Have a great day gals!

HI all...I went to the gym this morning but again didn't have a lot of oomph plus I tweaked my back a bit this morning. My dh said not to do the leg portion of my st today to give the legs a rest...I think I may have strained something in them as well. I will be having mexican food for dinner tonight and as I have only used a couple of my allowance points this week I will be using some tonight!

Have a great weekend all.

I had a great dinner and realize that I get full a lot faster than I used to! I was even able to leave some of the rice and beans on my plate:thumbsup2. We went to Baskin and Robbins afterwards (first time since Glenn and I have been married - 8 years) and I had one scoop of the thin mint which is thier "lite" version of chocolate chip mint. It was really yummy and supposedly only 5 points! Overall I used about 10 of my weekly allowance points today but don't plan on using anymore of them before weigh in on tuesday. I am making a new ww meal tomorrow - confetti meatloaf- and am working a double monday - mom says she will buy me subway for lunch so I only have to bring my dinner and water and snacks to work with me.:cool1: Hope everyone is having a great day and don't forget to drink your water!

Where do you get your WW recipes from?

I bought the WW comfort Classics cookbook which I love! I also got a lot of my ww recipes from their website over the years! There have been some great ones that we use even when we haven't been on ww!

Hey, hey, where my Divas at?

I hope this means that everyone is out there jogging and drinking their water.

The 4 birthday pounds I gained have been banished and they better not come back.

I hope everyone has a happy and healthy day! :goodvibes

I know, right...it has gotten strangly quite over here the past week or so. I am doing well. I got all 5 work outs in this week with the additional 10 minutes of cardio during each...uffda! No gym for me tonight as I have a double at work or tomorrow as I have my ww meeting but I will be back in the gym on wednesday. My eating has been good and I really really really hope all this hard work pays off on the scale this week! I am 6.6 lbs heavier than I had anticipated being at this stage!

Have a great day Divas and don't forget to drink that water!

Great job Cristabel.

I just ate a snickers bar...I wasn't even hungry. Oh well, it is still within my points for the week...just not the best use of them!

SarahMay

Keep up the great work Sarah and Cristabel! :thumbsup2 Mmmm, Snickers bar.

My exciting news for the day is that I'm back into a size 14! I'm so super happy, I can't remember the last time I was in that size. It's especially amazing because last month I was just fitting into a size 18. I'm so happy I found a diet plan that works for me and I can stick to it. Plus, it's like I just got 4 new pairs of jeans. :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a great day!
