Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Wow, everyone is doing great!!

I just got back from weigh-in. I am down .2 pounds and i will take it happily! I am hitting my TOM and I ALWAYS gain. Plus, I have not been counting points for the past 2 weeks. Just winging it and hoping that I am not screwing up too much. I have just been stressed at work and school, so my weight loss has taken the back seat. I refocusing today and hope to stay focused.:thumbsup2

January...congrats! Any loss is a loss! And I usually gain during TOM also so you did really well. Next week you will probably have a big loss!

Thanks so much! But I should be thanking you....your quotes and exercise reminders are so motivating! And then the marathon and the pics....I can't even imagine doing something like that but I'm really starting to love exercising so who knows where it will take me!

As for me, well I'm overwhelmed with packing. Just not making as much progress as I'd like and I'm feeling a little weighed down with all this laundry and bags, etc. etc. I WILL make some good progress today.

I haven't done any running since the 1/2 marathon. Did weight works on Saturday and we did no less than 100 squats. My legs hurt more now than they did after the 1/2 marathon! No joke. And then yoga on Sunday. So I'm taking a little hiatus from the running to recover. On vacation, well let's just say I"m taking a "best effort" approach. :rotfl:

I hope everyone had some good walks this past weekend, or other exercise. Today is a rest day, but go ahead and walk if you're feeling good and are up for it.

Well I worked out today. WHEW that was tough! I haven't worked out in months and it was def tough. We did a belly, butt and thigh workout. And man my legs were shaky after that LOL. It still felt good to do it though. Tomorrow is cardio. I always switch off and do strength training one day and cardio the next. If it is a nice day we may take the dog for a walk as well.

I don't know if I will be able to workout on Wed either cuz I have a meeting with my new psychologist and her office is a ways a way plus I have never been there so I will have to leave early enough to find it so may have to skip wed. And then Friday I have my post op which is downtown. So may only get three days in this week. But that is ok cuz it is probably better not to overdo on my first day back.

IT DID feel good though and I told Shane I plan to throw out the leftover birthday cake sitting on my counter so as not to meet with temptation!! ;)
 

Whoo Hoo! Go Kelly. Off to a great start and throwing the cake away too! Seriously, welcome back and 3 days is probalby plenty for the first week back. Heck, some weeks, 3 days is pretty good period!

Jen, I only have 3 days so you must just about be out the door. I really hope you have a wonderful trip and can't wait to hear about your cruise.

I had a pleasant surprise on Sunday when I snuck on the scale again. I had lost another 2 to 3 pounds. So it's official. I put up the 20 pound banner. It felt awesome, but I tell ya 50 goes on so fast and easy, and I have worked for that 20 to come off!. Anyhow, I am pretty motivated not to completely blow it on my 9 days at Disneyland, so will try to make some reasonable choices in addition to all my planned splurges. Hopefully all the extra walking will wear off some extra calories.

Way to go Tracy!! 20 is a lot!! Congrats!! I tell ya I am hurting today LOL. My whole body is aching but that's ok. I am still going to do my cardio. Don't know if we will be able to walk the dog after or not. It is pretty chilly and supposed to rain so we will just have to see what the weather does but DEF going to do the cardio!!

I forgot to list my weigh in yesterday but today it was 154.4.

So I shall be interested to see what it is next Monday!

Anyway congrats again. You are doing awesome!! Keep up the good work!!!

This was a rough week for me, lots of stress eating. But I didn't gain too much, went from 213.8 to 214. So not terrible, but not good either. I should be going down!!!

I'm here! I'm here! Crazy week for me and I have 2 final papers due Sunday so I am cramming! One down, one to go. And Beth, you had a stressful week so I think you did great!

Anyways, I weighed in this morning at 225.0 Another 2 lbs gone and a total of 18.5 from when I started. And only 1.5 to go before our trip to meet our goal. 2 lbs isn't much, but I'll take it!!

Hi girls!

I've been pretty absent on the DIS since I have no trips to Disneyland in the near future (that I know of!). I started working as a temp at my college bookstore at the beginning of this month and started school this past Monday.

Well, all my efforts have gone out the window. I think I have gained all the weight lost last year (about 20lbs) mostly because of the stress of taking care of the household while my mom has been recuperating but I have started back again to healthy eating today :goodvibes I'm sure now that I'm 100% dedicated, I know will lose those 20lbs (AND MORE) faster than I did last time!

I'm going back to eating healthy and mostly just counting calories. My goal is to exercise 6 days a week! That will be very beneficial in losing those 20lbs fast. I'm very dedicated now because if everything goes according to plan, I'm moving out in August to Cal State Fullerton (15 minutes from Disneyland!:banana:) so I want to weigh significantly less and have formed healthy eating & lifestyle habits to use while I'm living away from home.

The past few days we've had out of town guests which has meant lots of eating out, including some buffets!! :scared1: I bet I've gained about 5 pounds or more. NOT the way I wanted to be headed at all. :sad2:
 
Oh Beth I feel you there. Between Lynn's birthday on the 7th and then my anniversary over V-day it has been NOTHING but non-stop eating. I didn't even WANT to get on the scale for the last few days but I did today and I was 155.5. I was up from my usual back and forth between 153 and 154 but I was not surprised and I actually expected it to be worse. But today I worked out with Shane but then for lunch we went to Marie Calendars and I had a burger. I usually don't eat that kind of crap but they had a special and it was cheap. I need to stop worrying about the price and worry more about what I am eating but right now it is hard cuz everyone is broke.

But anyway I kind of have resigned myself that I am not even going to worry about it till after the trip since it is so close and I KNOW we are going to eat LOTS of bad food on that trip. I am not going to go NUTS but I am also not going to deny myself either, know what I mean? This is our fun trip and I want to enjoy myself. That also doesn't mean that for the next 2 weeks I won't try to eat as good as I can and I still plan to work out every chance I get but I am not going to REALLY get serious again till AFTER we get back. I figure there is really no point in it cuz any progress I might make would just get wasted on the trip.

I wouldn't beat yourself up either. Just do your best and then enjoy yourself on the trip and I always say tomorrow is a new day and you can always start over tomorrow! ;)
