Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Well, thanks but I don't think so.

I thought after I posted they might be for MNSSHP, but wasn't sure.

I can't believe that was taken in MK. I thought for sure I wore that shirt to AK. Maybe we park hopped.....Oh well, it doesn't matter. I can barely remember what I wore last week let alone 2 years ago! :rotfl2:

You are lucky!! Your Mom and Grandma were so cool. I loved meeting them that one day before dinner at Whispering Canyon. I think it's great they still want to spoil you. :goodvibes

And I definitely think you need to get Shirley on ToT.

Ahem. I'll sit that one out. :rolleyes1

Excuse me but if I get on, you will be right beside me, lol.

That's a great idea! I can have one of you on each side of me! Call it my education on words not normally heard at DL!

And you did wear that shirt to AK. We were there during the day and then after you went to the meal with a bunch of ladies at a hotel (Grand Floridian?) you went to MK for the MNSSHP...why do I remember your trip better than you?...especially when I didn't even see you all that much?!? It's a good thing there are trip reports!

Oh you'd get an education all right! Especially from me and my sailor mouth! :rotfl2:

I have no clue why you remember that trip better. I told you my memory is fading and I wasn't kidding!! It's getting to the point that if I'm off to the grocery store and I think of something else I need while I'm in the car, if I don't write it down right away, I'll forget it by the time I'm at the store.
My brain cells are fried. Or they are suffering from lack of use maybe.

It's a good thing you remember. When I see you in March, tell me what else we did ok?? :lmao:

Boy do I sound bossy and withcy with a B! I think this is telling me I need to leave being a mommy and try to remember how to just be a friend! I will try to keep my big mouth closed!!

What? I didn't think you sounded bossy or witchy at all. :confused3 And trust me, I know bossy and witchy. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the congrats. And GOOD FOR YOU on going back to school!!! Wow, that is awesome!!!

Anyway, that's great news and I hope you have a Happy Birthday!!!

Awww, thanks Beth.

Should be a fun dinner. My MIL is making a huge pot roast with potatoes and carrots (I love pop roast) and bringing it over to our house. I'm making my famous salad to go with it and serving it with garlic bread (I won't be having any garlic bread - too many carbs/fat).:thumbsup2

No presents this year though.....we're too broke. But my DH did buy me a cordless mouse this week to use with my laptop, which just this morning I set up, and let me tell ya, I'M LOVIN' IT! It's so much easier to use a mouse instead of a touchpad!

Mmmm, dinner sounds delicious!! Enjoy!

Ruben and I don't really do presents for each other's b-day. We used to, but we buy things all year when we need or want them, so I don't know, it just seemed silly. We'll usually go out to eat and/or to a show. We don't really do Christmas presents either. Maybe something small like a DVD or something, but usually it's just for the kids.

Hi, everyone!

SHIRLEY!!!  I miss you! It is nice to see you on the thread! And...hope to see you at DL in March!:thumbsup2

Capri---I am attending University of Phoenix right now. The program I am in is 16-thousand. I am online, though. I am not sure if they up the anty for online courses. This is for my AA. I am thinking of continuing on with them for my BS if Boise State does not have the courses I need in the evenings. And

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!:dance3:

Congrats to all the LOSERS!!:rotfl:

Happy Birthday!!!
Dinner sounds delish. Someone else cooking dinner sounds like a great birthday present to me! I always thought it was odd when I was little when my mom would say that she didn't want presents (who doesn't want presents?) but now that I'm older I'm just the same. I'd rather take the day and spend it with family doing something fun like a picnic or going for a drive than get a card and some more bath product.

I made it to the gym two days in a row. I woke up early yesterday and decided instead of lying there I would get up and put in some more miles. I just figured out how to download podcasts and have been listening to the Dis Boards archives. It makes the time go by so fast and I don't have to be looking at a screen to keep my mind off the time remaining.

I went to San Francisco today to see an old friend and we went for a walk in Golden Gate Park. I really need to visit the city more often. I've lived in the Bay Area my entire life and there are parts of the park I had never seen before.

I think I need to get a pedimeter to log my off eliptical walking. Plus it would be cool to see how much we walk around the parks NEXT WEEKEND!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Do you mean 16-thousand as in dollars?? Wow. Now I know why I don't go back to school, I cannot afford it! :rotfl:

That's great that you made it to the gym. Good for you! And you should get a pedometer. I think it would be really interesting to see how much you walk at the parks.

Oh...lots of messages to catch up on!

Happy Birthday Super Mom Capri!

And good luck with pursuing the teaching degree! :thumbsup2

Had a crazy busy weekend: Thursday our anniversary, Friday FIL birthday party, Saturday soccer game and school potluck, Sunday family gathering at our house with MIL and SIL and Sunday night My Mom's birthday party. Today we have a wedding at 3:30pm in San Francisco. And tomorrow back to school night. And then Friday afternoon, we leave for DL. I'm TIRED and wish I could just a couple down days. Hope I don't gain too much with all these parties and good food around. Also, need to find time to exercise.

And now for the QUOTE OF THE DAY:
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined.

Thanks for the "Happy Birthdays" everyone.:grouphug:

Dinner was a roaring success! We ended up inviting a few more people and had a total of 14, but there was PLENTY of food to go around (and wine and beer). It was a really fun party!

January - I didn't know you were doing University of Phoenix online for your AA degree. That's terrific!:thumbsup2 Wow though, $16k? I guess $8k per year isn't too bad, but I thought it would be less for their online program. Hmmmm, Western Governors University is $5780 per year, but they're a non-profit university, so maybe that's why.

WOW what a weekend/week you have planned. Hopefully you can get in a little time to exercise.

Hi, ladies! I had my weigh-in today. I didn't lose or gain ... which is good since it is that time of the month.:rolleyes1 Sooo, I am at the same weight I started at. Oh, well. I will take anything as long as it is not a gain.:thumbsup2

So happy to hear you had a great day!

It is a good thing you are researching schools before you decide. It is odd that they make it hard to know how much the school is. They make you call and try to get you to sign up.

LOL! :rotfl2:

Today has been alright. I haven't made my calorie count, I need to eat 389 calories to make to 1200. Today has just been an off day.

OFF TOPIC
I woke up around noon (late night), cleaned my room and started getting ready for my Disney store interview.

I arrived about five minutes early and I am so glad that I was interviewed by my two favorite supervisors (I worked their holiday '06) it was so much less tension than the first time where I was interviewed by the store manager:eek:
I really think I'll be getting the job because it seems that my GM & ASMs liked me and of course remember me because I would go visit them when I would be in the mall. What's a trip to the mall without a visit to the Disney Store?
Lisa (ASM) said that they are trying to get approved for a Thanksgiving midnight opening!:scared1: So they would be closed Thanksgiving day until 12am and then open up. It's going to be madness but I'm super excited for it.

Also they are trying to see if, since now they are fully owned by Disney, they could wear Disney costumes on Halloween to work.

No gym today, I'm just totally not in the mood for it. I plan to do the gym Tuesday, Disneyland Wednesday, and gym Thursday and Friday.

I hope you get the job Cristabel! Keep us updated. Oh, and opening at midnight sounds nuts. LOL I've worked retail though and I know how insane those after Thanksgiving Day sales can be.
