Disneyland Diamond Celebration June exercise challenge -- making dreams come true minute by minute!

I love Main Street Electrical Parade, so I really want to see Paint the Night! I really hope they still have it next time I make it out to California.

Main Street Electrical Parade is a favorite for me, too. When I worked at Disneyland sometimes I would have parade duty -- keep moving please! I could still do it today. ;)

Feeling like utter, utter crap today, but couldn't let y'all show me up! ;). 40 minutes strength training and 20 minutes on the bike.

Hope you are feeling better today and thanks for taking one for the team and pushing us over the top yesterday! :flower3:

official check in for the day - 51 minutes

508/2000 - which I think is enough to board space mountain.

AND - I'm officially on vacation!

Woo hoo! Vacation! Yeah, baby! :woohoo:What are you doing?

BRB with our official numbers. :goodvibes

A big woo hoo and way to go for our Disneyland Diamond Celebration Team for officially turning Space Mountain Orange! :woohoo:

Thank you to each and every one of our guests who helped make this milestone possible. :thanks:

Please join me in congratulating another couple of our guests who turned Space Mountain Orange as well:

We have several folks who are very close to turning Paint the Night Parade Purple. And remember we are barely 1/3 of the way into June so lots and lots of time to make those goals a reality! Let's do this! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

But first a little more about the Disneyland Diamond Celebration.

Matterhorn-disneyland-resort-14065660-300-375.jpg

The Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction opened in 1959 and was the first of the Disney mountains. At different times mountain climbers can be seen scaling the peak. Tinkerbell has been seen flying from the top of the mountain. The Disneyland Sky Way used to go through the Matterhorn. During a 1978 rehab the Abominable Snowman was added to the attraction. The Abominable Snowman, affectionately named Harold, received a special update for the 60th celebration. Check out this behind the scenes video of how they made Harold even scarier! https://www.facebook.com/Disneyland/videos/vb.11081890741/10153397757470742/?type=2&theater

And here is a little trivia question for you all . . . there is a basketball court inside the Matterhorn . . . true or false?

I'm running a 5k road race tomorrow night and feeling anxious/nervous/excited about a night run. So I guess my minutes tomorrow will hinge on how fast I actually run. So weirdly, I will be happier with posting LESS minutes than expected tomorrow.
Also how far away I have to park my car = extra walking :)

That is all.

Vacation - I'm hitting the road tomorrow to go visit Canada (the real one, not the one with the film narrated by Martin Short) to catch some World Cup Matches.

I'll be sure to track my fitness minutes while I'm away. The only way I'm going to hit my goal is if I'm crazy active while I'm on vacation.

Today - 71 minutes

582/2000

You all behave while I'm away! :)

I'm off to supervise the 6th grade outdoor Ed, sleepover trip. Please pray for me, lol. I'm in charge of the Leo cabin- about 20 12yo girls. I should get plenty hiking in for the next 2 days!!
Enjoy for vacation hmack!!!
Lisa- how did I miss you used to work for Disney?! :worship:
I hope to get into the college program, I hope it's not too late since I graduated 20 years ago

Hope that you had a great race and ran like the wind! :cool2: Night races are tough because the miles seem longer.

Have a great time! Steps to get beer count in my book. ::yes::

Sending you oodles of pixiedust: you brave woman! Have a great time!

It was a very, very long time ago that I worked at DL -- back in the olden days before they even had a college program. LOL :rolleyes1

I must have buried my trivia question too far in my post because no one took a shot at answering it. ;) The answer is yes, there is a basketball court inside the Matterhorn although it might have been futher encroached on in this last rehab -- can't find any recent info.
