WHEE! And I think they’re going to announce the news on Disney Parks Blog tomorrow. I’m so happy!

If it absorbs more people and gets them out of lines for rides, I'm all for it! Will be interested to see if they come back as LL attractions on Genie+. There's precedent with certain characters being Fastpass selections.

Maybe it was more at WDW but there were ones that had Fastpass selections. Granted, there were still standby options but you could skip the line with the Fastpass. Given we're in a whole new world after Covid, I wouldn't put it past Bob Paycheck to try to squeeze more revenue out of people. It could push people to buy Genie+ who might not otherwise do it.

Now if Oswald is back, I will wait my happy self in line to get more photos with him.

Awesome! I'm looking forward to it! I did miss this last time- I got in right as meet & greets returned, but I had to mask and they had to sit in "Princess Pens" and wait for us, lol. Though I did find that to be a much better angle to record your interaction with the character if you were solo.

“As early as April 18, we will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Very soon, Guests will once again be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autograph from Mulan, and share a laugh with Goofy. We know many of you have missed these special moments, and your Disney character friends have missed you, too!

During the past two years, we’ve taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.”
