For the first time today, upon logging in to DisneyGiftCard.com, I received a message saying that a code had been sent to my e-mail address (it listed the first couple of letters and doman for my e-mail) and I had to enter the code to continue.

Any idea when this started?

To be clear, I'm okay with this. I think it's about time the site used some additional security. I only received the e-mails saying I had logged into the account maybe 50% of the time (though I always received e-mails saying I'd added/deleted/transferred a card).

From what I can tell, on Friday last week.... bought a card using RMN and had no issues with shopDisney of the GiftCard site. Later that evening I bought something else on shopDisney had I needed the code. Then on Saturday I checked some dining reservations and needed the code to sign into reservations on WDW.

Interesting! I'm glad they've increased security a bit for all of the sites then. I guess I haven't tried to use any Disney sites since last week, so I only just noticed the change.

Logged into Hulu last night for the 1st time since getting the bundle and it didn't require it which isn't surprising. But is the same login as everything else Disney.

Can't speak to that site specifically, but I've found an increasing number of websites requiring the 2-factor identification in recent weeks.
