Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Yes, I am looking at my tickets now and they are valid from 8/20 to 9/11. My class is on the 29th.:)

awesome! thank you!

Here is another question: I was reading on their site and it reads that cancellations must be made in writing one week before the class, but when you sign up it reads that the tickets are non-refundable. DH is a little worried about that part since it will be $1000 (because we have four children.) I have emailed Disney, but have not heard back yet.

Our 3 kids took a class last November and we have annual passes. We just had to pay $26 for each kid to attend since we already had passes. Now we were part of a group of people who signed up together (someone of this board arranged a class for all of us) so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
It does make a difference. For the Individual Enrollment program a ticket purchase is required.

Does anyone have experience with setting a group up or know where I can find the requirements?
TIA! :cutie:
Unfortunately, Disney no longer allows people to form their own groups. You must be part of an official (school, scouts, etc) group, or you must go during Individual Enrollment or Homeschool Days.

Is it okay that our YES class is on the last day of our trip? Someone posted on another thread that they thought the class had to be on the first day of the trip or the tickets would be invalid. I thought the tickets were valid 7 days before and 7 days after???
When we used them, the tickets were valid for 7 days prior to our arrival date, and for 7 days after our departure date, based on the dates I provided them during registration. It didn't have anything to do with the date of our class.

If we end up having to cancel, will trip insurance cover our non-refundable tickets? I'm not concerned about the hotel because that can be cancelled within 72 hours beforehand.

If I have unused 2 day base tickets, can I use their value towards the YES park tickets? Or do I have to pre-pay for tickets before even arriving?

Thanks for any help!

We just booked the Synergy in Science class for my DD 6 and DS 7, for Oct. 4th. We're very excited! The ticket savings seems unreal. We can't wait! :cool1:

Kids and BIL have a class at Epcot tomorrow morning. We will be there at 8:15. Any ideas for my sister and I until the park opens at 9?

Ours was the same time at Epcot last month. By the time the kids all got put in groups and were ready to go, it was time for me and the baby to get in line at the entrance. We really didn't have time for anything but ropedrop!

Thanks for the info. We were planning on dropping them off and then going to park, since we may be running barely on time. I guess we'll just do a lesiurely walk up to the entrance.

We have annual passes and I sent a e-mail to the YES program and received a response saying we must buy atleast a one day YES ticket for both me and my daughter. What I was wondering is if we don't activate the YES ticket and use our annual pass can the YES ticket be saved for another trip if not activated?
Thanks.
PammyPoppins

No, you can't save these tickets. They are only good 7 days before and 7 days after the class.

how early can we pick up the tix. of we get them at the park. Our plans have changed and now we're doing EPCOT on our 1st day and our class on the 2nd. Plus it will be columbus day so i want to be sure to get there as soon as they open.

Does anyone have a phone number where I can call into the YES program? I looked at the first page info and could not see a phone number listed.
Thank-You,
PammyPoppins

I have a quick question and I'm so sorry if it's posted somewhere in this loooong thread!

The day of the YES program class, is a park day used? If we have a 5 day pass, does that mean the day my child attends the class we use one park day? Hope this makes sense, and again, I apologize if it has been asked before.

And is 5 days the most that can be purchased? TIA!

tdollar, the entry to the park for the YES class counts as 1 park day. You could also use one of the water park entries on that day.
We got 6 day tickets when we bought back in March and I know there are people on the thread who have bought 7 day. I think there used to be 8 and 9 day tix last year?

I bought an 8 day ticket in March and will be using it in 6 days:banana:
I don't know if they have since reduced the days you can buy but 8 was the maximum in March.:)

I called a left a message for Amanda at the YES program and in return, she left me a message;) Sounds like there is a ticket return form I can fill out. Disney still handles all the ticket stuff, so it is very likely we will get a refund. Sounds like next year, the process will be a through a third party, so that may be a different story. Here is the email she sent me...

Hi Marsha,

Thank you for your email! Refunds are issued on a case by case basis. I see that your tickets were shipped to you. In order for our ticketing partners to issue a refund for the tickets, they must receive the hard tickets back in their offices. I have attached the ticket return form to this email. Please follow the instructions on the form and return it with the unused tickets. Your Group Number is: *********

Please note, that this program’s registration and ticket sales are no longer handled by the Walt Disney Company directly. We have allowed a 3rd party to sale the programs and fulfill the ticket orders on our behalf. The 3rd party is not obligated to use the Walt Disney World ticket policies for returns. You happen to have place your order with us before we made the transition to the 3rd party and therefore we are assisting you with this return. We cannot guarantee you that you will be able to receive refunds on tickets that are unused in the future.

I wanted to share this information with you as it sounds like your family enjoys participating in the classes. We hope you will continue to enjoy these educational adventures for future trips!

Have a Magical Day!
