Disney Y.E.S. Program

This thread is extremely long, and I just don't have the attention span for it..lol..so please forgive me if this has been asked before. Is there an expectation that the program will open to individuals again? Is there a pattern of when it opens for individuals (as there seems to be with Free Dining). I would love to get my sons into one of these programs, but I can't imagine orchestrating a trip of kids their ages (10 and almost 9) to go down to WDW from NYC..TIA!

There are always individual YES programs but they are only for certain months of the year.

The trip IS open to individuals. The past couple of years it's been January-February, and June-October. :goodvibes

You can see a current list of programs/dates here (I hope this works):

OK so I am continuously thankful and in awe of the information I find on the Disboards, and have just been reminded what an AWESOME place this is!! :thumbsup2

I had never done any reading on what the "yes" program is but did after reading this thread. DS is very interested in a career involving Marine life. During our trip there is actually a YES class specific to his age and interest!! It's like a dream! He can attend the PERFECT class for him and we save hundreds of $ on tickets!

I'm still in awe..thank you thank you thank you!!! :thanks::disrocks:

I purchased the animation class for my DS 10 but was only allowed to purchase my ticket & my DH so my DD4 has to pay full price? I would have thought they would @least include the children who are not qualified for class to get the discounted ticket price

Call them. You should have been able to purchase four tickets. Did you list DD4 in the spot where it asks for children's names? You do need to put them on the registration even though they won't be attending a class.

Yes I did try and it said I could only purchase 2tickets because I only enrolled one child, but silly me, I never thought to call.:confused3 but will do in the morning, thanks! :thumbsup2

I just did a "fake" registration. I entered two children, ages 10 and 4, and two adults. On the page where you choose which party members are attending the class, I checked one adult and the 10 year old child. It was going to let me purchase four tickets, no problem. :confused3

I registered online for that exact same class and I was able to get 6 tickets at the discount price for our family. My oldest 2 are in the class and my 5 year old twins are not. I would call and explain to them that there was a mistake and that you meant to have the tickets for your 4 year old added to the order. I am sure they will be able to help you, they are very nice there. Good luck.

I have a question, can you get more than 5 day tickets, we would need to be at a park at least 7 days since I have a 10 day trip.

It would not be cost effective if you have to buy an additional 2 day tix on top of the 5 day tix.

However, if you you get the 5 day premium tix and you go to a park 5 days and then do 2 water parks different days it might work. However, would prefer 7 days in the parks.

TIA:flower3:

I guess nevermind, becuase it seems there are not many classes for our time period and they seemed to be all booked. Is there a way you could be put on a waiting list? We are going Aug 17-27 so really could only be in a class 18-26.

The registration pages are very confusing, but you have to "register" each child whether or not they are taking a class. Then you say which ones attend. That will allow you to buy the tickets.

Just as an FYI, you can get up to 8-day tickets with individual enrollment.

Once you go through the registration process, you are allowed to order up to 8 day tickets.

No waiting list that I've ever heard of, but I have heard of classes being added or closed classes opening back up, so keep an eye out.

Just keep checking for your date, sometimes they do add extra classes!:goodvibes

I got 8 day tickets for our trip, so you can get more than 5 days if you need too. Good luck and keep checking. I have noticed that several times availability will open up in classes that were previously closed. Hope you get the class you want!

We already have our class registered and tickets paid for but...

Just found out my husband IS able to come with us in 2 weeks!!!

How can I add on an additional ticket to our order????

Call them. I'm pretty sure they will add a ticket for you. It seems to be much easier to change your order now that the tickets are will-call rather than mailed to your home. :thumbsup2

I am just SO thankful for the Dis, this thread and all the posters on here! I cannot tell you what a HUGE difference this thread made in my life!!

I am a single mother of 2 boys who has been scraping together every penny I can to save for our October trip. My DS14 is SOOOOOO excited for this class and it saved me almost $700 which is a big chunckof my TOTAL budget! This savings along with an airfare special found on the budget board has TRULY changed my finances and I am SOOO thankful! Just wanted to let you know how much your information and kindness have made a difference! :grouphug:

I'm hoping for a little pixie dust so that my DS10 can do the Animal Kingdom adventure the next day, which is currently closed. It would truly be a miracle but I have faith
