Disney World Reservation System -POST 1 FOR LINKS

Late to this but have been up since 6:50 and was hoping to go back to bed for a half hour after booking reservations (ha!). Where are people trying to sign in? I'm in MDE in browser and am also trying to sign in from the "how to reserve" page and like the rest of you am staring at a pink castle. Is there some official place to do this?

At this point, literally nothing is working so there is no official or working unofficial place. Good luck!

Before everyone gets upset, Disney didn't exactly say when it would be live today

I called them 5 yesterday and each time they said 7 am EST I think it’s safe to say they’re failing as of now

They did though, to travel agents. I am a travel agent and we spent hours training on Friday and were told EXACTLY what to communicate to our clients. We were told to email our clients and tell them that they need to be ready to go at 7:00 AM eastern time today, and that they had to do this due to a new legal waiver that would pop up that they had to attest to. So I have multiple clients on right now, texting me, pissed.

About 5 years ago they gutted their IT department and hired replacement workers from India at much lower salaries. Not saying they had stellar IT to begin with, but I can't imagine that it has helped things.

That would likely improve their IT. There's far more competition for IT jobs in India from people with better educations than in the States. American exceptionalism in that particular field is a myth largely propagated by prejudice. Companies don't just outsource because it's cheaper - they outsource because it's cheaper AND they get better workers.
