Just called ME and tried to book for my November trip and they said NO WAY! I have booked my trip with VH and they say because of this I am not eligable for ME. I went to Virgin Holidays and got my booking number that Virgin Holidays used with Disney but they didn't even ask me for that!

This is the second BAD experience I have had with Disney within a month - I am starting to loose my "Disney Magic" - I think their customer services has really gone down hill!

I know their are others who have booked ME even though they have booked with VH - how did you do this?

Are you staying at a Disney Resort?? If so, then you are eligible for ME, no matter who you booked with.

Have VH call Disney and reserve ME. If they won't do it ahead of time, then wait till 60 days before your trip and call the Magical Express folks directly. Just state that you are trying to confirm that your ME reservations are OK.

If you are not in their system, they will then put you in their system.

The direct number for ME is (866) 599-0951.

I say wait till 60 days out because Disney doesn't send the information over to ME until that time.

Last time I checked, the following airlines parcipate in the Disney Magical Express:

American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, TED and United. Our daughter flew Southwest and was able to use Magical Express.

Maybe your airline is not one of the ones participating.

I would suggest you call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY. This is what I did and they added the Magical Express for our daughter to our package.

Hope you get it all worked out, Lisa

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT AIRLINE YOU ARE ON TO RIDE THE BUS, ANYONE STAYING AT A DISNEY-OWNED RESORT CAN RIDE THE BUS IF THEY MAKE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS.

The only time that airline matters is when you are going home. Certain airlines will allow you to check your luggage and get your boarding passes at the resort.

Some times if you book with a travel agent Disney will only deal with the agent. I tried to add a day and Disney said I had to have my agent do it. I called my agent they called and no problem. So call your agent-they should be doing it anyway.

Thanks guys :thumbsup2 Just called the number suggested by clkelley and it worked! The guy had all the details and took the booking! Thanks for all your help!

Forgot to mention - the number I called before was 407 566 7035 - I am not sure what department that is?

Just reiterating that this is MISLEADING INFORMATION.

"Participating airline" has to do ONLY with the return trip, and even then only has to do with the luggage handling (and so on) done by Resort Airline Check-in.

On arrival, EVERYONE on EVERY AIRLINE gets the full DME treatment.

It sounds like you initially spoke with a poorly informed Disney cast member.

Two things may have caused the cast member provide misinformation to you:

(1) Some tour companies from the UK and elsewhere in Europe rely on charter aircraft that land at Orlando SANFORD International Airport, not Orlando International Airport. Disney's Magical Express only serves Orlando International Airport. I just took a quick look at the Virgin Holidays website, and it appears that you'll fly to Orlando International with Virgin Holidays.

(2) Resort Airline Check-in (which is separate from but related to Disney's Magical Express) is only for US-domestic flights (and only for specific airline companies).

I'm not defending the cast member. Unfortunately, there have been many reports of misinformation about Disney's Magical Express from Disney cast members.

I'm glad it all worked out when you called back.
