Disney Wonder - Tracking Room Refurbishments

No, there was no hair dryer by the desk. Does not look like they did any electrical or structural work, simply changing out furniture/linens/carpet.

Disappointed to hear that they have not replaced dressers, desks, etc. they were very beaten up in our room in November

I believe Deck 6 and 7 has been completed, and they were working on the regular staterooms on Deck 8 when I was on the ship just yesterday for the 5 night cruise. The goal is to have ALL staterooms completed other then the suites by end of March or April.

Deck 6 done? Yay!!!!!

Do you know exactly what's being done? I know they are replacing the twin bed combo with an actual queen bed, but what else? Are they replacing the cooling boxes with real fridges? New carpet? ...........

Yes, the Queen beds are being replaced along with the headboards to look the same as the other ships. The beds will also have the storage available underneath. As for the cooler boxes, I'm not 100% sure on that, but I believe they will be.
They're also replacing the plugs, curtains, carpet, and some furniture.

Won't be traveling until March of next year (sigh), but I wanted to follow this as well. Thanks everyone for the info!

I was told Deck 6 and 7 are done. :goodvibes

Maybe someone else will chime in to confirm.

Sorry to be a party pooper but I dont believe Deck 6 is completed yet. We've been tracking room changes within our Feb 20th group and so far people in staterooms 6113, 6140 and 6141 have been advised that they are being moved for our cruise as their rooms are not available, presumably due to refurbishments.

We're going to be on Deck 6 so I wish it was refurbished but I'm not holding my breath.

This is a picture of the refrigerator taken yesterday on the Wonder. My brother said it is a real refrigerator but I was wondering if anybody could chime in and let me know if this looks different than the cooler box I keep hearing about. He also said everything in his room on deck 7 looked fresh and new. He has never sailed on a Disney cruise so I don't know how much weight to put in that comment.
I just went back and looked at my pictures of the Dream & Fantasy carpet and this is the same pattern used on them so maybe the carpet has been changed?

Did they say where they'd be moved to?

I'll let others chime in but yes, to my memory this is the same style as on the Dream and Fantasy and more refrigerator type. I know our "cooling box" on the Wonder in December did not have shelves above so I'd have to assume it was the older style and therefore this is the new, improved style. Indeed the carpet is new. :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing :)
