Disney Wonder Ship Question

Hi,
I was wondering when the last refurb was done to the Disney Wonder. I noticed the Dream had more "up to date" bedding so I didn't know if the Magic and Wonder followed suit.

2009, The wonder goes into drydock in odd numbered years. The magic in even years. But that may all change because the older ships are rumored to be going into major drydock soon. SO the stuff on the wonder is, at youngest, 1.5 years old. I could never tell if anything was new or old and I sailed on her a month or two before she went into drydock.

During our MR on the Wonder last week, about half way thru the cruise, they changed out all the bedding to new red nautical themed bedding. It was beautiful. The white sheets had a faint small Mickey head in the fabric.

Wow. I didn't know they did that. Good to know! :thumbsup2

This is great! Wasn't looking forward to the ones I saw in all the photos. :thumbsup2

That's good to hear. We cruised on 2/20 and the linens and bedspreads were in horrible condition, as was the crescent chair below the desk. :sad2: I mentioned it in the survey on the last night.

We were on the same MR Wonder cruise last week and we did not get new bedding. We got new pillows, but nothing else, so they must be doing it gradually.

Well, we are not sailing until Sept so I would think it would be done at that time! :)

Thanks all!!

The Wonder will be doing dry dock after the Alaska cruises before it returns to LA this fall.

That's interesting! They had the bedding outside of each of the rooms all down our deck after breakfast on Wed!

What deck were you on?

So that Sept 20 cruise will be a "NEW" ship!!

Perhaps but I wouldn't intentionally book the first cruise out of drydock. There are always posts here complaining about unfinished work and other problems [brown water in all the pools for a couple days on the Magic in 2008].

lilbug13,
We were also on the Wonder last week, and did not get the new bedding :sad1:... we were on Deck 2, 2588/2590. But it's nice to hear they are replacing it. :thumbsup2

Oh yay! New bedding for me! Someone post a pic please!

I know they are supposed to redo the Edge when the Wonder dry docks. Other than that, I haven't heard much. Anyone else?
