Disney Wonder September 3, 2012. Seattle to Vancouver 7 night Alaska Cruise!

Hi

Booked shore excursions a while ago & want to add a new activity.

However I can not click pass add a activity, could someone else see if they are having the same problem?

Thanks

David & Jane

I'm not sure if this would work - if most people decide to sign up for both lists, that could end up with two lists full of almost everyone, somewhat defeating the purpose of splitting the list. Or are you suggesting that people can choose to give to both lists if they want, but each participant will only be expected to give to their list? That could work.
.

After I wrote that we could be in both lists I got to thinking that probably wouldn't work. That said, I still like the idea of one list. The previous FE I was in ended up with 18 cabins and 57 people. So our group has more cabins, but less people. And I don't know about everyone else, but I tended to spend the most $$$ on the kids and our group has so few. It just doesn't feel like much of an FE with just 10 or 11 cabins. Plus I do think it may be asking a lot of Hollywood Glitter to have to maintain 2 lists...

I haven't checked today but was wondering if you were trying to book two excursions for the same day? Disney won't let you do it if the start time of one is withing 2 (?) hours of the end of the previous one. Otherwise, I have no idea :confused3 Sorry...

For those of you in the FE with Peanut allergies, are Pistacios are problem for you?

I was curious as to what to expect weather wise in part of Alaska we are traveling and the time of year. I searched the computer, and the best i could find out is......supposedly 44-56 degrees and possibly rainy. Does anyone know differently? If its anything like Texas weather,,,,,anything goes...:sunny::umbrella:

I checked a minute ago and was able to get to the "add to cart" stage under Port Activities. I'm assuming that's further than you've gotten today. Maybe try another browser or reboot in case you have a cookie/cache issue. Don't know...

Sounds like you are so exhausted...Thats alot to do in a short period of time ......you will deserve your cruise. :boat: Hope it all gets done with quickly and you can get alittle relaxation before the trip.:)

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA a bit... We are moving this week! We finish moving out today, then we have an adoption training all weekend, then we get to unpack and clean the old house! I think I will be SOOOO ready for vacation by sept 3rd!

So glad we are getting more people! And Jen, cruise documents already!! Yay!

April, I was GTY and got my assignment almost 2 weeks ago with an upgrade. Hope you get your room soon!

Hi all! Checking in to say hi since I've not checked the thread for a little more than a week (WAAAAY too busy at work).

I am all for keeping the FE together; however, I'll defer to the decision of the group. My first (and so far only) FE was on the Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise which meant heavy DisBoard participation. We had 45 cabins and 121 people in the FE (53 of them children). This will be a piece of cake after that one.

I'm bummed I haven't received my documents yet. It looks like many of you already have. I guess I'll look forward to Monday.

One question for everyone... what time is the muster drill?

Wishing you all a great weekend and an outstanding week to follow! :goodvibes

This will be my first Disney cruise, not leaving from Port Canaveral. For most, if not all the drills that I have participated in, out of PC, the drills were 4pm. My last cruise was about four months ago.:)

Hi,

Thank you all for your answers to my previous questions...

Here's another :)

If the boat is in port until 7:30 (ex. in Ketchikan), does that mean we have to be onboard by 7:30, or ship pulls away at 7:30? I was thinking of an activity that will bring me to the dock about 7:00-7:10. Am I cutting this too close?

Thank you!
Jennifer

I vote for a split, only because my FE gifts (which I just started on) are more time intensive to complete than I realized, and I doubt I'll be able to finish 20+ before we sail. I have a backup plan if needed, but I'm really excited about these.

I did an FE on an earlier cruise, and we split the list, and allowed people to join both lists if they wanted. Most people stayed with one list, although 3-4 did both lists. I don't think, even if we allow it, most people would sign up for one list. I would bet less than half would sign up for both.

This is getting way too confusing for me :scratchin

Would it just be easier to do as one list as the majority seems to be in favor of doing all cabins? If for some reason I'm unable to finish my gifts, I'll pass out what I have done and hand out something else for the rest. No biggie. I really like my gifts that I have to pass out but if I don't have time, I'll still hand out something else at the same caliber to remaining families if needed. Don't want to sound as if those families would be cheated. This is supposed to be fun and is the thought that counts!

But again, this is just my thought.

Hi Everyone!

First of all ... Thank you everyone for giving me lots to think about for the FE.

If we can lets put everything on hold until we have a final count after Aug 1st. It looks like some people are getting confused and a decision hasn't been made yet.

Thanks again

Absolutely, and my apologies.

I'm fine with 1 list no matter how big. I haven't started my gifts yet but I should be able to get enough for no matter how many we get to.

From what I remember the boat leaves at 7:30 so you need to be on there before that time. I still have the paperwork from my last cruise. I'll look it up for you

Yep, we are good with pistachios! Thanks for asking!

As far as the list, I think a split would be easier on some of us, but I am fine with whatever is decided!

Got my cruise documents today :cheer2: Passport, Flights, airport-port transfers, excursions, Palo reservations, done :dance3:

I found out during my research that each area is different. The farther north the cooler it is. I am putting together a small version of my research so I can share my findings. This is the last cruise of the season and the weather will be changing, I expect lower tempetures than in July or August. If you have rain gear consider bringing it with you.
Rain or shine we will have a great time!pixiedust:
