mwa ha ha ha ha ha Maybe its the fact that I've been trying to catch up for 3 days straight and am getting a tad loopy, but I got to this post and nearly pee'd my pants. Lordy it hit me as hilarious.

I think I need to find this thread's Cliff notes cause skimming isn't working very well

Well I better get back to trying to get caught up.... just had to chime in to say the whole adventures of "flat tim" plan is a complete and total crack up

HOLY HELLO KITTY! A sure sign that you are NEVER going to get caught up, is when you read and read and read and then come upon a post that you posted yourself, and it was so long ago you barely remember posting it

siiiiigh maybe if I don't go to bed and just stay up until we leave tomorrow night i'll actually be caught up.... but then who would pack my bags? good grief *puts on her "queen of procrastination" crown *.....

Me either. I guess I'm not sophisticated...I hardly ever wear anything besides jeans. It's very hard on my MIL, who is the wife of a Colonel and is very used to dressing for society. I make her son happy--or at least I haven't kicked him out--so she's willing to overlook my faults.

You're not the only one--I find that picture hilarious! I can't help laughing every time I see it.

By the time you get to this point, you'll have already noticed that the posting has slowed...people have started leaving for their trips or are desperately trying to pack! Hope that helps you see a light at the end of the tunnel...

OMG! Thank God you were paying attention! The same thing almost happened to us with my DD. My DH put his hand out and caught the ball, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER FACE! I can not even imagine what COULD have happened!

Holly, I'm glad you are all right and that you could just laugh about it. I think I probably woulda been dying of embarassment and trying to hide under my seat, or just start crying and hope I get some sympathy and free stuff!

my grandma got hit in the head by a hockey puck when she went to a game once. She came home and told us the story and we were like, "Oh my god grandma ,you could have been killlllled!" She just looked at us and laughed, "Yeah but I got to keep the puck"

My grandma is kooky but wouldn't trade her for all the mickey bars in the world

Evening everyone, Grandma paased away this morning 7:45 a.m. The funeral is scheduled for Friday. We could still go on Sat. at 6:00am but my bil and sil live in Virginia and are on their way here now and would need to leave immediately after the funeral to go back to catch their plane out of bwi on Sat am. We have not made a final decision but will do so by tomorrow.


Lisa and all others in Florida I hope Ernesto spares you any serious damage or harm!!!

haha thanks. all my mom could think about after i had gotten hit was that girl who died at a hockey game by getting by the puck. and i understand what you think about being embarrassed. i would have thought i would have been. but it's a great story, i've got the ball and you know what, i've come to a conclusion that stuff like this always happens to me. like i said, my sister looked at me and said, holly, only you would get hit by the ball

haha i hear that. usually i come home from work to pages and pages of posts. yesterday i came home and there were only 2 pages i had missed! granted it makes less to catch up on but it's so sad!

it makes me think of whenever they're predicting snow up here. everyone goes crazy and you can't find milk or bread anywhere. and for some reason people have yet to learn how to function in the snow. you would think that we never get snow, but it snows EVERY YEAR!

Please I hear ya! THey act like the snow will be there for months!!! Hello they clear the streets! They act the same when driving through tunnels too!
