I just checked weather .com if you put in my zip code 13041 a special advisory comes up that we are getting 2-5 inches of SNOW tonight. Now I'm having a breakdown because I really want to go pick sydney up before it starts snowing. Oh man why do I live here :furious:

Oh yuck!!!!! I am not ready for snow!

Move to Florida...you'll have warm weather, and me! :teeth:

Hey everyone!

We met our quota for CC apps so I get a jeans and T-Shirt day next Friday and lunch on Monday! OH YEA!

Not to mention one of our 'up-there' bosses bought everyone in the branch a dozen red roses! I like this job!
Glad you like the job.
How are classes going?

Our new refrig came today. I wanted side by side and DH wanted water and ice in the door. We got the smallest one we could find, silver door and black sides. It looks so BIG in our little condo. The old one was a 25 year old almond colored refrig and took up less room too. It will take some getting used to. The new flooring makes the kitchen look larger because the self-stick tiles appear to be made of littler tiles. DH is working on the quarter-round molding--sanding and painting it and some window frames. I am sitting here looking cute and :cheer2: him on. Such a tough job.

Thanks! I had a blast writing it.
I keep losing the page--we get intermittant power outages for no particular reason--the building is a toddler--they do things for no reason also. Or-----maybe the building has Alzheimers--it is OLD!! Anyway--Kerry, can you post the link in your signature? Then when I lose it, I can get it again.

Hi Guys, sorry to hear that everyone's freezing. We got a cool front too, it's in the balmy 80s today. :sunny: :rotfl2: (Sorry :goodvibes )

Teia went to a pool party, lots of fun. :beach: Take some pictures of the snow, my kids have never experienced it in person.
Snow is a lot nicer in photos, paintings and songs than it is when you have to drive or walk in it.

DH talks about how nice it is to have a white Christmas and I tell him he is glamorizig it because of the movie and the song. It is not nice, it is COLD and WET and ICKY.

Now

Castaway Cay--THAT is NICE!!

Someday I would like to live in Florida, but for now God has other plans.

I used to love the snow when I lived in NJ but only when I got to play in it. Snow days were the best! Cleaning off my car, driving through it, and sliding on icy roads are not my idea of fun. Snow is for kids.

I have to say though, for me it's kind of a bummer to be in the 80 degree weather on Christmas day. It's the one time of year where I wouldn't mind winter. Our weather will drop into the 40s but not much lower. After Christmas, I'm ready for the beach again. :beach:

Heading to Animal Kingdom tomorrow, the same thing we did the day we disembarked from the Wonder. I feel all nostalgic. :goodvibes

I did not forget you Erica!!
I even love Christmas being a hot day!! In Australia, New Zealand, much of South America, Africa and Indonesia Christmas is in a hot season. Christmas is a beach day--works for me!!
Have a great time at Animal Kingdom!! Ahhh---to have an Annual Pass and be able to use it a lot--what a delight!

Wow, I hate people.

So I went to that festival with Greg tonight to help with his documentary on the band. We parked on the road in front of the school, as directed by the.. traffic directing people?.. lol.

It was sooo cold so at the end he took me back to the car and started the heat while he ran a copy of some footage from last week back over to the band. Well, the guy hauling a trailor for another band tried to come around the corner and I KNEW he wasn't going to make it. I was a bit nervous sitting in the car watching him inch closer and closer to Greg's car.. about three inches (I kid you not!) away he stops and his wife gets out and starts tapping on the window. Well, it's not my car. And it was pitch black so I was trying to figure out how to roll the window down whenever she starts beating on the window so I'm already not happy I have to disrupt my warmth for a lady who isn't even patient enough to see I was making an effort.. and she demands that I move the car. I started to say "It's my brothers car and he just ran over to Williamstown's bus.." whenever she interrupts me and goes "Well you need to go get your parents NOW and tell them to move their car."
Well. Any mention of my parents and insinuating that I still rely on them instantly sets me into b with an itch mode and I glared at her and rolled up the windows, in the middle of her saying something else. I also made a point to lock the doors! So she (seriously!) gives a little scream and goes to the back of Greg's car and starts talking (rather loudly) about what a little smart **** b with an itch I am..

Well. I was making an effort. I was fumbling around in the car trying to find my phone to call Greg but I couldn't see anything and so I was trying to find a light or my phone.. or basically anything to help me. When the guy driving the truck comes over and seriously POUNDS on my passenger side window. I'd just found my phone and tried to call Greg and he didn't answer so I roll the window down about an inch and look at him and he starts demanding I tell him where my parents are.. which, again, pisses me off. Are they even listening? It's my BROTHERS CAR. And I'd said where he was. So I, pissed because I have parental issues, said "I've been old enough to drive without my parents for several years now, Thank You." (Hoping he'd pick up on the fact that I could move the car myself if I wanted to) and ignored while he pounded on the windows. I kept calling Greg but he wasn't answering so then the guy comes back over and starts knocking again and screaming that he's going to call the police and I cracked the window, gave him a BIG, BEAUTIFUL smile :-D and told him to go ahead.

Honestly, what would they do? If anything, he was harassing me.
I wasn't going to leave the car and go looking for Greg, because he easily could have hit it and taken off. I wasn't going to move it because I didn't want to give them the satisfaction (and after all, I'm apparently not old enough to operate a motor vehicle without a parent!) and it was Greg's car and if I moved it Greg never would have found me (especially because after the guy stopped pounding on the window I heard Greg's phone ringing in the trunk so I knew I couldn't have gotten ahold of him HAD I moved it.).. that and I'm not insured on Greg's car and there was no way in hades I was getting into my germa-phobic brother's drivers seat and trying to manuever it out of a parking spot with a HUGE truck three inches away from the drivers side. I wasn't doing it.

Greg showed up and saw the guy beating on his window and asked what the problem was. He said the guy told him I was being a b with an itch and he just said "Yeah, she can be that way, especially if you piss her off." (Gee, thanks Bub-- I love you, too!)
Then he went to the drivers side and couldn't even OPEN THE DOOR?!?!?
I had to roll the window down and he (my 6'4" brother) had to crawl in through the window of his car to then manuever away from this guys truck.
Isn't that a bit ridiculous?

Seriously. What is wrong with people?
I wouldn't have gotten so evil if they'd of listened to me instead of instantly acting like I was an uber-horrible person for not automatically hopping out of the car and trying to help them. I did everything I could.

GOSH. Where do I find these people?

Just talked to Greg and he said the guy was beating on the window whenever he got there and he said "What seems to be the problem?" and the guy turned around and Greg said he was a good foot taller than him, and since he had his sweater and old varsity coat on.. he looked bigger than he actually is. He said the guy actually did a double take! And just said "You need to move your car." and that was it!

GEESH! Why do people think it's okay to mess with girls? He especially shouldn't have been doing what he was doing if he honestly thought I was young enough to be there with my parents. But here comes my brother 'the protector' and the guy gets sheepish. I hate people. haha.

Well,I broke down, Could not wait until 2008 to book another cruise so we booked the 2007 September 2 cruise  - basically, the same cruise we were on in 2006. I am sure my fellow cruisers will be wonderful but how can they be as wonderful as this group. With your permission taeja - I think I will "borrow" the Mickey Tag - I loved that. Its so fun planning a cruise. We are going with our friends Howard and Jeri who used to live near us in Fort Worth, but have been transferred to St. Louis. Erica, I'm sure the room across the hall is still open. :sunny:

Oh how great!!!! That sounds like a wonderful idea, if only the kids didn't start school that week. :guilty: I don't think I'll ever pull them out of school again and definitely won't pull them out for the first week again. It really didn't work out so well for them. Congratulations to you though!!!!! :cheer2:  :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

How exciting! Sure, do the DIS tag. I got the lime green rubbery stuff from Michael's or JoAnne fabrics. Learned about DIS tag from my first cruise. :cool1: Have fun with it!

There was a great Peanuts cartoon back in the dark ages when I was younger than you. Linus is standing with his blanket and he says "I love mankind......It's people I can't stand."

Edited to add: I read Patsy's entry to a friend who said this is bullying. He said that people have their own agenda and when someone messes with it, they get out of control--bullying.

We might take you up on that Cheryl :teeth:
Depends on the status of the soon-to-be peanut.

And Patsy, OMG! What utter buttheads! I had something not as bad but similar happen once where I stopped in a redneck town to get gas. i didn't realize, but I was parked right next to the only Diesel pump. There was room to get to it, just not much. Well, a guy pulled up next to me while I was pumping and was STARING. This was about 5 years ago when I was still in my youthful 20's ( :rotfl2: ) so naturally I thought it was because I was a cute young girl.

So he keeps staring and I try to ignore him, and then I go inside to pay. When I come back out, he starts yelling at me for not moving my car. I was like :confused3 so I said um...... and he said he needed to get his giant truck into the diesel lane. I smiled as big and beautifully as I could manage, and politely informed him that I was very sorry to have inconvenienced him and that I would have happily moved had he said anything to me. He just kept glaring so I smiled again and said have a nice day!

I think that ticked him off more than anything. I liked when you said you gave them a big smile and rolled up the window. I love it! :thumbsup2
