I'm not sure! I read somewhere for your embarkment photo try to look stressed out! Then for your disembarkment photo you'll look happy and relaxed. I think I read it in Birmbaums.

I'm sorry! I wasn't trying to scare you. I think I'm just cynical by nature. In addition, I see poor customer service on a regular basis. I work in government.

Your situation is different since custody isn't stated. It's the words "joint custody" that could create an issue for me.

Plus(I hate to say this) my situation is a little different. Unfortunately, we do not live in a tolerant world and you never know what the person across from you believes in. Given the fact I am in an interracial relationship and my son is white, I cannot risk having someone's narrow viewpoint of the world ruin anything. Kevin didn't understand why I was worried after looking at my divorce stuff and I didn't have the heart to say "but what if the person at the counter is a racist?"

Although we do not have problems in day to day life generally, we do encounter ignorance (well, I do) At the wedding we were at (in upstate SC-can you say hickville?) there was a very overweight balding man in his mid-40's in a seersucker suit He kept turning around in the church glaring at us. Later, he made some nasty comments while I was in line for beer. (he was standing behind me) I let it slide since this was a work colleague's of Kevin's wedding.

It was totally taken out of context! I thinkit was exaggerated by the people teasing Maddie (ie woman on the stairs and the DCL employee with the security wand) People just assumed she was being really bad versus being grumpy and impatient like any other 6 year old!

I kind of blasted Jsme for her mean comments. I don't regret doing it but I probably shouldn't have fed the trolls. As a single mom I can just relate to the emotions that Kelly was feeling at times. You all will see me cry several times during this trip I promise. Especially the first time I meet you all and someone hugs me!

I'm so happy and grateful to be able to take a vacation like this with my family healthy and whole.

I'm with you! I am so grateful for what I have in my life now. I had a friend rolling yesterday when I told her "Once you have tasted sh*t, you know what it tastes like. You know the difference" The appreciation I have for my life now is priceless and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I think that's why great moments make me cry.
