Not my DH! I made him call the phone company today, and they started talking to him about upgrading our DSL...he just said hold on and handed the phone to me! He wants a bigger memory card for the digital camera...so here I am, researching. I love the look of your memory, Lisa, but it doesn't take xD cards!

Ahh! I sent Lewis a message that said

"Your dad said that he needed someone to get you out of his house. I jokingly suggested I find you and propose marriage .. and he told me how to find you :-p

Better watch out for your Dad!"

and his reply was

"how do u know my dad, and does he really hate me?"

Why on earth would he think Bill hated him?! Am I that unattractive?! :rotfl:

 :lmao:

You're gorgeous, Patsy!

That stinks that it doesn't take xD! I didn't realize that. My Canon has SD so that's what I was shopping for. It's a cool little thing, especially for the price. It's kind of an insurance policy for me. I didn't want to go overboard. Someone else posted on the same thread where I got the original info, about another one that Costco sells. Hang on, let me see if I can find it:

(That's some huge link, no? :confused3 )

Yup, it takes xD but it's more expensive (and double the gigabytes) than mine.

I read that about the wind and skirts not mixing also. Luckly my DD got a cute pair of leggings with pirates on them from Claires. I may just go back and see if they have them in my size. I might just wear capris though.

NHC FORECAST SHOWS TD #4 EVENTUALLY BECOMING FIRST HURRICANE OF THE SEASON

Tonight's discussion from the NHC was interesting. It suggests that TD #4 could become a hurricane in about four days as it moves on a NW track out in to the open Atlantic. However, the forecaster mentions that there is a chance the cyclone could move more westward than the big global models indicate. If this is the case, then we might not see this system curve out to sea as early as indicated thus far. Right now, the only land areas that will see effects of TD #4 are the Cape Verde Islands. Once clear of that region, the system will have only open ocean to deal with as it slowly comes together. Obviously, we will have many days to watch and see how things evolve. Elsewhere, the tropics are of little concern- even the east Pacific, which is very active, has no immediate threats to land. I'll post more here early tomorrow morning.

Attention skirt piratess wearers...... I just read this post from the "where'd you get your pirate costume" thread and ye be warned.....

Valgal##: "I don't want to wear a skirt because Deck 9 and 10 aren't skirt friendly. I had to change clothes and rejoin the pirate deck party back in June. This time I'm throwing some things together for a more comfortable pirate outfit. I'm not seeing anything that grabs me for a pirate costume so that's how I started pirate costume hunting. Hey, Goodwill is a great place to search for articles. It's so cheap you don't feel bad about shredding it or making it dirty looking. Here are some no-sew ideas relatively inexpensive ideas:....."

I thought, I'm wearing a skirt, maybe I should wear leggings underneath. Hmmmm. I'm not that kind of girl. I'll be hugging the railings.

This is why I'm wearing bloomers. :thumbsup2 Mine are red and black plaid (because my seamstress friend makes scottish clothing) but I desperately wish I could find my pair with the frogs on them. Wouldn't that be fun for pirate night? :woohoo: Seriously, if you want to make a pair of bloomers cheaply, get a pair of plain-colored capri's and use fabric glue to put lace around the bottom. Then grab the hem of your skirt and tuck it into your waistband to show off your nifty bloomers! :teeth:

Wowza, that's some price tag. I still think that my DH is nuts for not wanting to take the laptop, but we'll see. I don't think 1GB is quite enough...that limits me to less than 100 photos a day! :lmao:

It falls on deaf ears. This teacher has been doing this for years and years and years. For some reason, I seem to be the only one who finds it to be a bit much! :confused3
