I just had to share- Yesterday my dd 8 had a Dr's appt. with her endocrinolgist at the Joslin Center. She goes every 3 months since she was diagnosed last year. It was the 1st visit where I felt like ok, things are going well. Her a1c levels were good, we only made slight changes in her insulin levels, her arms and legs were free from scar tissue so she can continue getting shots there . I don't know why but I just felt like we are turning a corner in this adventure and we are all finally handling things better. She was diagnosed just weeks before our last cruise and I remember being so nervous about it. This time I feel nothing but excitement I knew you would all understand.

Speaking of passwords..I forgot my secret password to pick up my kids in the club. I did it when I registered them months ago, and forgot to write it down
I wonder if I call will they give it to me????

Right after boarding are you guys hitting the buffet, sitdown or the pool (drinks instead of food!)? I just learned there was a sitdown option, not sure if I'm up on the whole strategy here........

Suzanne - so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. I can't imagine the stress you must be under right now. I'll keep you in my prayers. (Did anyone choose pink yet? ) Also glad to hear about you DD (sounds like you could use that good news right now ) - my DH was diagnosed as an adult a few years ago and I'm still trying to figure things out.

Bill - thanks for keeping us posted! Anything else behind that tropical storm?

Taeja - I just figured out where you're from! (yeah, it takes me a while sometimes ) - "IN" between DL and WDW - I get it! (saw you were a "Hoosier" on that link you posted)

Below is a summary of hurricanes that formed in August close to the current track of TD 4. Only one made it to the US Coast,Dennis 1981..It did hit Florida BTW,bu this storm is too far north to loop down that low.

I just went thru the same deal, checking to see if I had registered them and then got reminded about this password thing. I 'think' I remember. But still, I like the idea of them ID'ing anyone getting kids. What if someone overhears me say my password? They can use it? I know, parinoid, but I prefer ID's. Various studies have shown kids going off with adults b/c they are authority figures and buy the thing being told to them.

Neither of my kids ever got better from the chest colds so I am going to take them both in later this morning. I want them good for the trip. Lisa, How are your kids now? Is everyone feeling better?

No you are not being paranoid but I am sure there are several safety nets set up. I have never been on the cruise but someone else might be able to answer.
