It's $15 a disc but some people say they keep your memory card over night, others say you wait while they transfer it. If I bring 2gb of memory with me, I am not sure how many pics each disc even holds. I am going to look into this other thing. I could transfer my pics every night and start fresh every day. Many people have had catastrophes where their camera was dropped or broken and they've lost all their pictures. If they had uploaded their pictures every night, they would have at least had the pictures from before the accident.

Good idea, I'm planning on doing the same thing, except I'm lugging my laptop on the trip because I can't afford to buy anything else right now. But I definitely have to do something because I love scrapbooking and would "just die" if I lost my pictures :sad2:

I was a "police records clerk". It was a civilian position. It was very interesting, to say the least. The records room was located in the middle of the jail, near the kitchen. The trustees were always outside the door. I'd hear "YOO HOO, OFFICER LISA" and they'd ask me if I wanted them to make me a grilled cheese for lunch. (I wasn't really an officer but we had to wear uniforms - very stylish - so the inmates assumed we were officers.) It was scary when they'd comment on my new car or something they should have had no knowledge of.

Oh my! that would be unnerving!

Sounds like it would have been a very interesting job. I'm sure it wasn't too boring at least... and gotta love the stylish uniforms, :lmao:

Speaking of jobs I put in a long time ago to take the test to be a postal carrier. Actually to be a substitute. The paper work came in the mail yesterday and I was so nervous that the testing was going to be while we were gone but it is September 10. :woohoo:

Yay! :cheer2: Thats really cool. quite lucky, maybe its a sign that it was meant to be! popcorn:: (I can't figure out how to post the little smilie things that aren't on this website so I don't have a mail lady one, but I sure like the popcorn smilie so you can just use your imagination :teeth: )

Thanks! The sample test they sent looks like a fourth grade test so I am not to worried. I just hope it takes a while to go through the process if I do well because I just started coaching DD's soccer team. I would hate to have to find another coach in the middle of the season. We are talking the government though so there should be no worries. :rotfl: Ha Ha I said that and then I had to fix misspelled words.

isn't it frustrating how slow it takes for some things to get done? Sometimes I just wonder how ANYTHING ever gets accomplished with all of the red tape and rules and regulations out there.

I know there is a method and reason for everything, it can just be so worrysome waiting when it seems like it should go a lot quicker.

Hopefully in this instance it will work in your favor :goodvibes

Good lord.
I just said the boy drove me crazy but still I'm getting hints.. haha
I would get an incentive pay if he did, though... :rotfl:

Yes, I'll be a teller. I have to wait on the recruiter to call me back and wait for my "package" to arrive via Fed Ex in the next couple of days.
I told them about the Cruise whenever I interviewed and I imagine they'll wait to start me after. Just makes sense to me. The assistant manager (who will actually be my boss) is going to be at Myrtle Beach the same week so it all worked out! :Pinkbounc

Alex made a huuuuge mark down my arm with the grease pens we use to mark the wrappers with today.. and I can't get it off! :furious: Any ideas anyone?

Boy, he really WAS a pain in the rump today!

Hmmmm... grease pen on skin, i'll have to think about that one....

Boy my mail NEVER comes that quickly.... especially when I was waiting for my cruise docs to come! Really understood the meaning of "snail mail" at that point.

I love that little mail person one. Very cute!

i knew one of you guys would find a good one :thumbsup2

You have no idea.
I wanted to set him on fire but we didn't have any matches left.

You guys are TERRIBLE!

I went on break and went over to the arcade (I know everyone that works there and so it's where I always go on breaks) and I was fuming and Chelsey just kept saying "He likes you." "Patsy, he likes you." "He. Likes. You." And I'd get mad and start saying something else he did and she'd be like "Patsy, you're not helping yourself! He LIKES YOU!" It was so frustrating..
:confused3

wow I must be really tired. it took me WAY too long to get what the heck that word was :confused3

I got it now, but I think maybe this is my sign that I should head to bed.

Night everyone! I probably won't be able to get online tomorrow, so congratulations in advance for when we hit 11,000 posts

:woohoo:

Dawn,

"Mailing Information" is on the first page of my documents booklet. It lists our names and the address of our TA. I wasn't sure if anyone else answered your question.

:goodvibes

Yes, that's our first page too. Interestingly, I can see by the stub that there used to be a page in front of it. Hmmm.... Of course, it doesn't really matter I'm just curious! :rotfl:

No, I was done with the TV.. besides.. 6'5".. do you have any idea how hard I'd have to try to get it to hit his head?!

Oh man! I had to go reprogram the T.V. remote because it was not working. I thought DH was going to cry. :rotfl: I liked all your little mailman things too cute. I figured I might be safer working outside the post office. I really don't want to be someones postal justice. I don't even know how much they pay but it has to be better than what I am making right now. It is an on-call position so I could work around things also.

Yes mine has a stub too. It just makes you want to know. Maybe a travel agent will know? Love to Travel do you know? Or maybe Love To Travel was in real estate. I'm confused now.

Hi Lisa

Happy Belated Bday party: Your cake looked very cool.

That was sure nice of you to buy your DD a hoodie with your Birthday exchange $$, you're such a good mommy!

Our Disney Store closed down a few years ago. Probably good for my bank account, but still a bummer.

I am like you though, I was always looking at the little kid's clothes and wondering why they didn't make those styles in adult sizes. I think that a lot though, they have t-shirts or something with Winnie the Pooh on it, but I like the actual styles, like sundresses and stuff.

Oh well, I think I just don't want to grow up yet, :lmao:

Before I quit the Disney Store, they promised two things--1) More stores (since the Children's Place bought them, they're supposed to be expanding again) and 2) More adult styles. At least it's better than it used to be!

They have that new contour line but it is so expensive if you don't buy it on sale. I am waiting for them to say we can't get a discount anymore. I have not been in the Disney Store in a long time. Do they carry the same stuff as Disney Shopping on-line or is it completely different?

Hey  , didn't I come to check in at a good time (for once  ). Yes, I'm a travel agent (I'm now wishing it were real estate - more money!). The first page of your documents was just the mailing information. It has the guests' names, dates of travel, reservation number, stateroom number, departing city, etc.. But it also has the address that the booklet is mailed to (either yourself or a travel agent). In other words, you're not missing a thing. ;)

Have a good night, talk to y'all tomorrow (13 days away)!
