good night! :wave2:

haha yeah this is true. i was just complaining to a friend about the fact that it was monday tomorrow. he was like well it puts us one day closer to buffett (concert). and it is closer to the cruise and closer to the time 'the boy' comes home from his vacation... so i guess getting the week started helps some :joker:

I hope I didn't strike a nerve, but I figured it was probably something big like that and not an injury or you wouldn't be running. How awesome to have been so disciplined at something. I think it says alot about your character to have gone so far with it and now with running multiple marathons.. I wish more young people were so dedicated to something positive.

oh no not at all. i love the sport with all my heart. i get so excited whenever i know it's going to be on tv. i follow results of big meets as much as i can. i actually grew up swimming with micheal phelps. so it's fun to watch him do well. i'm actually surprised that i managed to do it so long without getting an injury, especially since i was a butterflyer. i had a friend who got shoulder surgery who afterwards was told she could never swim competitively again.

haha yeah. i hope jobs look at that. since i was swimming so much i never really had a job. the only real job i had was after my freshman year of college, i worked at borders. so my resume looks kind of sad. so i put on there my swimming stuff so they could see all that. i mean cause it was like a job. i had to be there everyday, twice a day, from specific hours. and i did everything i could and gave it my all every single day.

i love being active. i've always been into sports. i played soccer for 2 seasons (fall and spring) before i started swimming. and to just stop and do nothing after being active for so long just isn't for me. and actually it's really bad for you too. i read an article a couple years ago about when athletes 'quit' they get really lazy. and even if they're not fat, they have really bad health problems. cholestoral sky rockets and stuff like that. it's crazy! i plan on being active until i can't move anymore :)

Lori that's awesome I'm glad they had a good time and now she'll have her sleepover party to look foward to :thumbsup2

alrighty gang... i think it's time for me to go to bed as well. gotta get up and do my run before work. have a great night! :wave2:

That's what happened to me I played soccer and swam and then quit it all. My metabolism slowed way down but I kept eating and I gained weight real fast. Now it is just a constant battle after having kids and everything.

Oh I'm glad you can talk about it and not be too sad. I could tell you still loved it :cool1: I think that is something employers would be very interested in. It shows a huge level of dedication. I don't know about all this time you take off for cruises though lol :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

eesh... yeah... somehow i got lucky. i didn't do much right away after i graduated college. but i wasn't eating as much. boy if you could see what i used to eat! man. it amazes me. but luckily i had cut down that taking some time off didn't really do much. however when i look at pictures from 2 years ago (before i started training for the marathon) my face looks so fat! i'm like wow i didn't think i was bad off. yeah, my sister yells that i don't gain weight. i'm like do you not understand that i'm running? it's not like i'm doing nothing. and that i don't eat lots of food. my mom keeps telling them that one day it will catch up to me. and i'm sure it will. as long as i take steps to fight it now i should be fine!

well now i'm really off to bed... night!

Taeja lets see I was laying on my stomach and my arms were dangling in the water does that count huh huhuhuh????

popping in and popping out...too tired to post. :faint:

so glad we made it to 5,000+ you gals are on a roll. zeihund, did your friends make their reservations sucessfully? :wizard:

Holly, thanks for sharing your story about swimming. It's a pain not being able to do the things we used to do with so much effort now. I bet I can't do a cherry drop. I'd drop right on the ground face first.

I had a really long day at church and now I need to play catch up. That includes posting which I'll have to do tomorrow.

Suzanne, that sounds like :cloud9: heavenly and relaxing too. :teeth:

welp, I gotta go again. I'll check on you gals tomorrow.
