Hi Everyone! I'm back! The folks at Comcast finally figured out my problem.
Can't wait to see what I've missed since Saturday. I'm what, 100 pages behind now?![]()
It's a good thing that my kids started school today, I have a lot of catching up to do!
Off to read...........![]()

I was forced to rent a wheelchair last year at Disneyland because of my feet. I've been in physical therapy for plantar fasciitis, and they told me that I could resume normal activities, but I worked at the Renaissance Festival this weekend, and now I don't think I can treat WDW as "normal". The pain on Saturday was tolerable, but I was barely able to walk on Sunday and spent most of the day sitting on the thrones while the royal court was away. I wore my special shoes with their special insoles! I spent most of yesterday off my feet, but today they're *still* significantly swollen. I can't seem to get the swelling to go down, and I've taken over-the-counter medication. I don't want to get a wheelchair, but am I deluding myself? I know I'm fat, and I know that's a big factor, but I swear that I'm trying to get more active and lose weight. Would it be wrong of me to rent a wheelchair? Should I try to tough it out? It's such an expensive vacation, I hate to spoil it with my inability to keep up.
Thanks for listening, guys.
It's a used car, nothing major. A neighbor of my mom's was selling it and it was too good a deal to pass up. He's excited to have "his" car waiting for him. To be honest, it's been a Godsend that it's here, my a.c. is constantly going out in my car and I am able to use his when mine's in the shop.PirateCutie05 said:Wait he can't even drive and he has a car. Aww man...what a lucky kid! My mom's against me buying a car.But I do understand where her argument is coming from. I'm gonna need a good amount of money when I get out of college so I can start paying off school and everything, and I won't really have that if I buy a car.
Shoot, I wouldn't get insurance on the car until I could drive it...too much money comin out of my bank account each month!

DawnBlackunicorn said:Awww, in my case my arches are too high, and I spent too long without proper arch supports. I'm not really completely sure of what happened, but the muscles are shortened, the arch tries to collapse, and the fatty pad on the bottom of my heel isn't all there anymore, so I'm walking on bone. I think. There are excercises I do to help stretch the muscles, I have arch supports, and for normal everyday walking I'm just fine. My feet can get sore, but nowhere near the can't-walk-or-I'll-pass-out pain I got when I was on my feet all day. I don't have any idea why my feet are still swollen two days later, that shouldn't have anything to do with the plantar fasciitis.
My DH is completely supportive. He'll do whatever I decide to do. But when I go over to the DISabilities board, I see people who have it soo much worse than I do, and I feel horribly guilty for even contemplating getting a wheelchair.![]()

I'm glad that everyhting went well for the kids today even if a littleLCTsMom said:The first day seemed to go well for everyone!Teia has lots of friends from her Kindergarten class in her class this year so she's very happy. Conor had a great time, he has awesome teachers, he's in the toughest classes in the school. God bless him, I won't be able to help him at all!

Logan seems to like his classes too. He was disappointed that he only has one good friend at lunch but I'm sure that will change very soon. He had a crazy day because I had to meet him at the bus and run him straight to work, then get to Teia's car line. I got there on the late side so I had to wait quite awhile. The rest of the week will be easier since he's off. Phew!
