Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Doing good! All recovered. One more week until I can.....well, you know....again. :thumbsup2
:) yipee

Okay, that cracked me up.
It may need to go in my signature! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I love it, its so you

Woohoo... until you can... get crafty, as this nifty little badge would say, right?? :rotfl: :rotfl:
:rotfl:

Holy cow, Patsy, I got married the year you were 6.

Sorry, I know I'm two months behind, but I just had to say!
say more Dawn! we miss you. You 've got to keep me sane fellow home school mom.

:rotfl: I was thinking the same thing! But then I was like well maybe she definitely knows Patsy's 21 and just did the math?
:lmao:

You gals really got me laughing tonight :goodvibes

Have a great weekend all! We're going to Brown County, Nashville Indiana that is tomorrow (weather permitting). :woohoo:

Not sure... she'll probably pop over in a few months and tell us. We don't hear much from her regularly. :guilty:

On a good note... we found another house. We hope! Will keep you updated, we've not made an offer or any of that yet and we're trying not to get our hopes up like we did on the last one.

What is there to do there? Just curious! :):goodvibes

There's shopping and eating. Oh ya, your supposed to look at the leaves too. We had had a light lunch so we could pig out on carmel popcorn and cappuccinos (sp). Sad part is, the kids HAD to go with us b/c our babysitting plans fell through, they were so thrilled to be with us.... not.

I hope everyone's Monday is going well :grouphug:

Ahh! Well, thats been one of the best perks of driving from WV to OH for work everyday. The leaves on the interstate were beautiful! :goodvibes
:thumbsup2

Hope you had a good time.

Aw. It's a gorgeous state!

It's good. Soo slow. 7 employees. Actually getting my bonuses. Getting more $/hour. My time before counts towards "total time" so I'm eligible for 12wks paid parental leave. I'm SO happy I decided to go back to them.

No kidding.. I just want a vacation in general. Being this horomonal with no sunshine probably won't be too good for Tom's health. Thank goodness I'm getting a dose of Bahamas next month.

We're holding off on vacation until 2012-- Inaugural!

Did you get married in 1989, the year it came out? 'Cause I was only two then. Not to rub it in or anything, I'm just trying to figure out when you got married since I didn't specify a year in the post..:rotfl:

Yikes. I got married in 1990. I gave it a year for the movie to come out on video and guessed.

We danced to "Kiss the Girl" at our wedding.

Pthththththththththththththt.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I always over-commit my time. Plus, it's going to be a tough Christmas, so I've been busily making crocheted or chain mail gifts. I learned my lesson last year--start your handmade gifts early, or don't get them done. Plus, did you know that the older your kids get, the more stuff they cram into your day? I could just rip my hair out.

PS--I've got my fingers crossed for you on the house. I hate house shopping so much, I made my husband promise that I didn't have to move for ten years. I've only got two more years left.

I think this one will go through!

The basement is immaculent. The furnace is on blocks off the ground in case of water. There are drains all around the edge that lead to a big drain, just in case water does get in. The foundation was done triple block thick in most sections. It's crazy, like they went to crazy attempts to keep water out (makes sense it was built right after a HUGE flood here) but the house doesn't sit in a flood plain. :confused3
House has been empty 1.5 years and you walk in that basement and smell nothing. No must, no water, no mold, NOTHING. The realtor was shocked.

It's got hardwood, pocket doors, I love it!!
We'll have to run some duct work for more heat upstairs (I like to be warm, dangit!) but went ahead and figured out how do-able it will be before we left it Saturday.
We're going to add a laundry room to the side (right now w/d are in Kitchen) but a contractor and electrician in the family will make that easy. We'll leave the washer in the kitchen until we can do it and just hang clothes to dry (our dryer is gas and connection in kitchen is electric and I'm not running a gas line just to build a laundry room shortly after, seems stupid!)

Going to rip up all the carpet, finish the hardwood floors. We'll have to add AC (how the heck do people get by with no AC?!)
It was 40 degrees here Saturday and when we walked in that house (keep in mind, vacant 1.5 years) it was WARM! It's insulated so amazingly well.

I think we found it! :woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1:

The yard is also 3x the size of the other house we were going to buy! Fenced yard, flat.

Rink will be so happy to have a yard to run around in and plenty of place for a pool/play place when we get to that point.

Hopefully this one works out. Crossing fingers. Making offer tomorrow, I think!

That is so cute!!!:goodvibes
My sisters and I are all fighting for the same father-daughter dance song!:rotfl: I guess I should try looking for a new one?:confused3

But I think everyone else should have to find a new one...I'm my daddy's favorite!:p :lmao: :rotfl2:

I let my dad pick mine. :rotfl:

I didn't care.

We just made an offer on that house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Might have posted this before but feeling a little flaky and nostalgic.

Just like to say... Thanks, Veterans!

I should probably scan this thing. Taking a picture of a picture doesn't work out too well! :)

We got the house!

Everyone cross their fingers we get a satisfactory inspection back!

Someone else was interested so we rushed our offer in. We offered list with the seller repairing a leak and paying $3000 in our closing costs. They were going to counter but ended up just accepting it. WooHoo!

Our house...
