Alright, Mini-Trip Report time.
We landed on Monday morning and got to our hotel, Planet Hollywood-- where we were given a 31st floor newly renovated room! I guess they're taking all the old Aladdin-esque decorating and making them the "chic" and "retro" feel that most of the rest of the resort has. Each room has props out of movies-- like the Planet Hollywood restaurants do. We got a Karate Kid room with the jersey and a black belt props!
Tuesday night we had second row center tickets to see Phantom. It was AMAZING! Definitely a must-do for anyone going to Vegas. We also ate at a yummy, yummy restaurant in the Venetian in the Saint Mark's Square replica area-- it was called Canaletto and it was DELICIOUS.
Me, before heading out to see Phantom Tuesday night-- check out the gorgeous view from our room!!
Wednesday we woke up and went to Hoover Dam. It was a nice ride and the landscaping is so much different out there, it was gorgeous. We stopped and took a lot of pictures-- it was crazy to see water that wasn't BROWN.
That night KP called (Tom and KP were in the Marines together and KP lives in Vegas) and he had scored some free tickets to see Roseanne Barr do standup in the Sahara. We all met up and went to that-- she was funny, but came across as pretty bitter in some of her jokes.
Thursday we woke up and ate at the Harley Davidson Cafe (they boast they're the best BBQ on the strip and it was pretty scrumptious..) and hung around in the spa the rest of the day. I took advantage of the steam room, jacuzzi and sauna.. when it was time for our appointment the massage guy came and got me and said "We're having trouble finding the other half." and it turns out he'd fallen asleep in a lounge chair next to the jacuzzi. Tom was definitely relaxed!!
We'd booked a joint aromatherapy jacuzzi bath followed with side-by-side couples swedish massages. Ah.. we left there so relaxed and feeling like butter.
After that, we relaxed in the room a bit before KP picked us up for the Wedding. We got married at The Little Church of the West. KP was our chauffer/witness/bestman/photographer/tour guide and did a great job at all

...
Us, still in the chapel:
This one sorta shows the outside of the chapel a little bit..
KP took us here-- I couldn't help but want a picture here!:
After the ceremony KP took us to a casino called the Silverton, which I guess is a pretty hot spot for locals. It was away from the strip so it was a lot more relaxed and more affordable!
They had a huge aquarium in their lobby with a mermaid swimming around-- it was so neat!
Us, in front of the casino.
The three of us at the bar: Tom, me and KP!
People kept buying us drinks and congratulating us, it was a LOT of fun!
I also got to learn Roulette on my wedding night-- my first table game!
