Disney Wonder - October 14, 2012 - Hawaii

aloha everyone, booked the cruise back in Oct. It will be my dh Dave and myself Alyce. Always wanted to go to Hawaii and now we are. :yay: We booked 11a gty dh is worried about not having a veranda. I think it will be fine. Now that the holidays are behind us we can focus on the trip plans. First up reviewing the pages. Lost to catch up on. Looking forward to chatting with all of you.

:welcome:Welcome Dave and Alyce, my hubby also wanted a veranda I told him he can go out to the deck instead ;o)

Can someone tell me if the postcard, and candy exchange works the same as the fish extender gifts. Not sure what a Scrap exchange is:wave:

I think a Scrap exchange is a scrapbook page exchange; not just bringing your leftover pieces of fabric or metal. :goodvibes I've never done this, so not sure on specifics - someone else should be able to give you detailed info.

Postcard & candy exchanges do work like the FE - those who sign up drop off the gifts to each other.

My DH likes the veranda and since he's spending most of his time from last August until some time this summer in a hotel room (either in Texas or New Mexico) for work he has his verandah. Somone had mentioned bringing your breakfast to your verandah to enjoy eating it. This is something I can see myself trying this cruise. On the Panama Canal cruise I spent some earlier mornings on deck reading, and drinking coffee which I also like to do. If you see someone reading on deck 9 with a resort refillable mug and powdered Vanilla Creamer that's me stop and say "Hi".

and I made this corresponding name tag to go in the lanyard's badge holder:

Here was a name tag we were considering:

What took you so long to join us? :goodvibes Glad you're here now. It's been a little slow around here with the holidays. Under nine months til we sail.

Hello everyone

After much debate we've been out today and booked to join you all in October.

We are Sarah (sezmo) and my Mum Elizabeth, we live in Cheshire in the UK and are very exicted to be taking this trip as we've never been to the West Coast.

We'll read everything that's been going on and hope to join in some of the fun

See a couple of familiar names so are looking forward to catching up with our "old" Dis friends and making some new ones too. :thumbsup2

Not quite like your White Cliffs of Dover, are they? Aloha, E Komo Mai

Aloha! Looks like we will be joining you for the Hawaii cruise in October!

We are: Larry (LKShep), and DW, Janee (Twinner2). We will also be joined by DW's twin sister and her husband. We are leaving our children (mostly college age and/or married) at home for a two-week, adults-only vacation.

As it has worked out, I spent my 51st birthday last year at Castaway Cay on the last day of our Eastern Caribbean cruise, and I will join all of you in boarding the Wonder on my birthday this year.

While this is our sixth Disney cruise, it wasn't until last year that we got active with a cruise meet group before our cruise. We had such a good time online with everyone for the months leading up to the cruise and really enjoyed those friendships during the week on board.

We look forward to getting to know you all and joining with you in preparing for a fantastic vacation!

Here's are some beautiful Hawaiian orchids for your birthday - perhaps we'll need some fresh ones for the actual day.

Aloooohhaaa! Lol! :) We are planning to join you all on this cruise! I am sooo excited!! I've never been to California or Hawaii. If we can do it, we want to fly to CA on the 11th or 12th. Go to Disney for a day or two and after the cruise fly back on Monday. It will be just DH (Joe) and Me (JoAnn). Now if hubby can get his days off approved, I could book a flight! :rolleyes1

I'm anxious for the April sailing to come back to see how it was! I'd like to see their navigators and stuff! I wonder how many dinners you are allowed on a 14 day cruise! Yummy!

Looking forward to seeing you all on the Wonder!

Aloha right back at 'ya. I think they let you have 14 dinners on a 14 night cruise :goodvibes

Aloha Everyone!!

My DD (Nichole) and I booked our cruise (or should I say rebooked) while on the Dream. We do not have a room number with the rebooking, but it is a Category GTY9C.

Please add us to the list and also include us for Palo and lanyards. I would be happy to volunteer (need to go back to page one to get caught up). My translantic cruise was so much fun in 2010 due to all volunteers and great information shared. I had found this site a little more than a couple of months before sailing that year, so this time I want to be a more active participant.

My daughter is a DVC Member so we will also be staying on Disney property. This cruise is for my 54th birthday on October 18th.

They've already got the sign out to welcome you to the Big Island.

We just call it Mickey's Halloween Party out here in California. That acronym is too long anyway! :goodvibes

Please add myself and my DD (7) - we have a GTY. Just a mommy-daughter trip! We just got back from Aulani, it is exciting to think we will be back in Hawaii in 9 months!

Now this is a coastline! It is exciting to think of returning to Paradise.

(no mean spiritness intended - welcome everyone to this DIS-ohana - I am having fun with photos)

Finally caught up moving slow for sure. That's okay allows me to catchup quickly. I have been reading the April sailing thread. Boy are they busy. I can hardly wait for there trip to be over so we can read all about what to expect for ours. Looked over the excursions can't wait to book them than it will seem real.

They are a great bunch of people. Sometimes I'm sorry we changed to this cruise becasue I have sailed with so many of them. Then I get over being sentimental and I;m thrilled to be going in the fall. It is my favorite time of year to cruise.

It will be nice to see you again.

Went to the library today and picked up several books on Hawaii. Trying to learn about points of interest. Also how to pronounce words that are used as well.

It will be nice to see you again.

Thanks Dee and you too. We need to start the party over here so we can catch up with the April crew and make you feel more at home :dance3:

Thanks Lynne loving the photos and the time you put in to the personal welcome

:welcome: to everyone that's joined after us. :woohoo:party:
